Leeds pre season started with a 4-2 win over Harrogate Town

Roofe scored from the spot after 16 mins after a Town defender handled in the area. This was followed soon after by Gomes (signed from Liverpool last week).

United made it 3 just after the half time break courtesy of Hernandez.

This was followed by a Town revival as they scored twice in quick succession but Irwin sealed the Leeds win with a tap in 5 mins from time.

Leeds United second half: Wiedwald, Berardi, P McKay, Bellusci, Ayling, Dallas, Phillips, Vieira, Sacko, Hernandez, Erwin.




Aragon TV also state that one of Saiz’s teammates at Huesca, Alexander Gonzalez, is expected to ‘follow him TO Leeds.

Gonzalez was signed from Young Boys in Switzerland on a free in January 2016. He's 24 and a right-midfielder, with 45 Venezuela caps under his belt.

He made 35 appearances for Huesca in La Liga2 last season, scoring four goals and picking up one assist.

 

Morning Elland and all. I dont rate early friendlies or performances in them at all. Hark back to our 38-0 win three years ago or whatever. One question though, where was Wood. Is he late back from summer holidays? If Saiz has been offered 20k a week, Wood will have to be offered a vastly improved contract. If we wind up with a load of new faces again this year, itll be interesting to see how quick they gel

 

What's with the delayed new kit reveal - are you reading anything into this like those on twitter - any idea what time the new kit is presented today?

First couple of games will be about fitness and TC taking a closer look at who will and won't be here next season.

Roofe, Doukara, Erwin, Antonsson you'd expect at least one maybe two to be moved on. Good to see Diacouraga getting a chance to show the new boss what he can do although I feel his days might be numbered.

 

Your new keeper played a blinder and kept his average up even though he only played 45 mins

 

Agree with Ristac but Dave in center half yesterday means he was on trial so I reckon dave, Duke, Antonnson could all be leaving as well as Erwin. Bellusci played well apparently but will that be enough or will players like Berardi want rid of him. Is he really toxic or just with waccoe

Morning all. Big win against mighty Harrogate. Real Madrid must be sh&tting themselves!!!

Alternatively, a good start & gentle improvement in fitness. Wood will come back to the team when he's had a bit of a break. Plenty more to do, & TC will have to establish his starting XI AND his bench. It will then be for those not in the starting 16 to push hard in training to show why they should be in the 16.

Hope Diagouraga makes it, as I think he has plenty to offer.

Wood is on holiday after Confed Cup so arrives back next week, Pontus & O'Kane should be given a run out on Saturday as they were both late back after getting married (Not to each other)
