Could be wrong but I thought Ayling was originally a CB? Edit https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...al-luke-ayling-scouting-report-steve-claridge An old report but a nice read, Ayling learnt his skills at CB whilst at Arsenal.
apparently the player wanted to join a proper footy club and further his career.said he has ambitions of playing in the premier league. Boro also beat you to Howson best you keep looking in Macedonia, Poland, Outer Mongolia, The good ones are turning you down
Thanks for that, Ristac. I had no idea. I see he still has the same problem marking people. Interesting. His other big weakness at RB is not cutting out crosses, which should be bread & butter for a RB. He does more for us going forward than defending IMO, but I still think he edges Berardi. He's already eradicated another fault he had - he wouldn't stay on the wing when attacking - he always cut inside to receive the ball, & was a bit predictable, plus, of course, failed to give us the width we needed. It seems to have been knocked out of him, as his forward play is more varied now, and he spends more time hugging the touchline. Still think I prefer him as a RB to a CB, but, tbh, wtf do I know? In TC we trust
yer right and I'm the player. But I've told millwall I'm too young to play for them, maybe in 10 years.
