    Good Morning Everyone,

Got talking about Mark Viduka last night on twitter!

I was saying that the Australian let the whole of Leeds Utd down when he deliberately got himself sent off at Bolton sealing our Championship fate in the 2003/04 season.

His actions (imo) tainted his achievements at ER.

Whilst many agreed with the great one (me :emoticon-0110-tongu) there were others that said our fate was all but sealed anyway.

As a reminder, this is what Henry Winter wrote

"If only all Leeds United's players had shown the defiance imbuing their striker, Alan Smith, and their marvellous fans.

If only Mark Viduka possessed an ounce of dignity, professionalism and commitment in his team's hour of need. If only Leeds various boards had mixed ambition with prudence. If only Lee Bowyer and Jonathan Woodgate had not dragged the club into the gutter and into the courts. Leeds' recent history is littered with heartbreaking, club-shaking if onlys".

    What do you think?

Lewie Coyle is set to join Fleetwood Town on loan

    Good luck to the lad

Luke Murphy has penned another season long loan to Burton. The 27 year old has another two years to run at ER. No idea why the club don't release him?

One midfielder down, 26 to go.....

Samuel Saiz' transfer is still up in the air despite extensive talks between Leeds and SD Huesca.

50% of any transfer fee has to go to Real Madrid, therefor his present club are demanding a higher fee!

Would you say this was our best ever squad we have had?

Re: Luke Murphy, Burton will be paying his full wage and probably paid a fee (albeit small) for him to be loaned there. That will be why we haven't released him.

Morning all. For me, our decline began and ended with the bowyer Woodgate fiasco and I’ll never forgive either for where their actions led the Club. Hopefully the next piece of our history will make more pleasant reading when the time comes.
That was our best modern day squad but doesnt come close to Revies, they didnt win anything

Without wanting to drag this whole fiasco up again, I pin it mainly on Ridsdale. He had his supporters badge on and when he gambled by taking out a 25 year mortgage and we just failed to make the European places, that IMO was the start of our decline. It didn't help either by O'Leary asking and getting every player he wanted or by writing that book. I mean at one stage we had 6 strikers.<doh>

Elland that squad was special mate, just wish they had done their jobs at the end instead of looking for lifeboats.

Bowyer, Woodgate could have been so different if Dubery & Co had demanded Bowyer hand himself in. DoL could have sacked him & the club would have survived even though we lose the player & a fee for him. Dol's book was final nail in the coffin

Expect more players to go out on loan this week but was hoping Lewie would make the breakthrough this season.

Samu's transfer was always going to be a long affair, I picked that up right from the start when they were not bothered about the 50/50 split between the clubs, Huesca were very happy with their share, it came down to the player being on holiday. He's in Miami and not due home until the weekend. The manager and club said last week all looks good but the deal cannot be done until the end of next week (Thats was last week) so not bothered about it.

Last night Radz went on twitter to quieten a fan who started moaning that not enough action was happening (Some of our fans are a joke) Radz said "Patience my friend"

Morning Doc, the players should have done more that season... What a team. Liverpool pinched that last European place thanks to 5 or 6 last minute goals from McAllister.

Very true Shaks but many clubs have carried huge debt into the Championship and made it back up without imploding like we did. There wasn’t anyone at Leeds with the balls to hang onto that squad for a season longer and we’d have been straight back up I believe.

On Paper probably, in reality obviously not - there were 6 or 7 who cared (including those in brackets) and the rest didn't give a proverbial.

morning ... Murphy loan a good thing, that's £500k a year saved ... Coyle loan a good thing, the lad will get lots of games to help him progress and return a much better player ... Saiz deal may well not happen if Huesca over price him thanks to the clause they signed with Atletico Madrid, as they are in effect trying to double his value

Ridsdale was never a fan, read his book ... the man is a buffoon, and his ego got in the way of everything ... when he spoke about "living the dream", he was referring to HIM "living the dream" of being Chairman of a club playing exciting football and challenging at the top end of Europe ... make no mistake, Ridsdale's manic feeding of his bloated ego was the epicenter of the disaster that befell Leeds United ... because the debt he WILLINGLY took on was so finely loaded, it meant that just one slip up would destroy Leeds ... he knew it, yet still he gambled, knowing that he could walk away and leave the ruins to the fans

the big slip up was BowyerGate, as it came when Leeds were top of the table after a superb 3-0 win against West Ham (remember that quality chip by Fowler?) ... the dressing room was never the same after that, and DoL decided to line his pockets a bit more with his book, adding to the problems

then there was that crook Venables who took the job with a £2m payoff in his contract if he got fired, so he did everything he could to get fired ... he drove Dacourt out of the club and insisted on playing Jacob Burns, even though Burns really wasn't a footballer, just some slow Aussie kid who somehow got to Leeds on the back of Kewell's success

Prof McKenzie came along and got paid £500k to be the worst chairman ever, Krasner stripped Leeds bare to make a nice little mint for himself, and then Bates got his grubby paws on our club

now we have a decent owner again, and that catalogue of disasters will never happen again ... this club, once it's back in the Prem, will be huge for whoever owns it, and with the volumes of cash now on offer we won't experience that kind of fcuk up again, too much at stake

BPF going out on loan to Oldham with stories around Rob Greene being upset about Felix coming in so Midds & Sunderland waiting to see. Howson on his way to either Sunderland or Midds as both teams are getting active in the market

Interestingly Sunderland are 110m in debt, Villa lost 84m last season so youd wonder how long can they sustain such mismanagement of funds
