Have to disagree with you about Diagouraga, El. Best DM we've got. Just because Monk didn't like him doesn't make him bad. He played him one game, and used him as a CB pre-season. Hardly the ideal preparation, or chance, for the guy. Something clearly happened behind the scenes. The groundswell of opinion at the time was that he was too lethargic for Monk's vision of a DM. Perhaps he did appear lethargic, but he played Bridcutt off the park the previous season. I wouldn't be upset at playing Silvestri, but agree that perhaps his time has come. If we actually were serious about signing another keeper, then there's no doubt that he was leaving. Personally, I don't think we need another keeper. Bradley double-barrell appears to be our future #1. Silvestri has been a capable backup, & Green has astounded many of us. I think it's important we spend our limited resources elsewhere.
Leeds United have recently been linked to Manchester City’s Bersant Celina. The 20-year-old has spent last season on loan at Eredivisie side FC Twente and will be looking to make another loan move for the upcoming season. With the Citizens midfield stacked with talent, Celina himself has said that he won’t be a part of Man City’s plans for now. “The plan is to play in the Championship. I'm going to try to find a club there. It will be one of them [Leeds, Ipswich or Bolton] Then we'll see." Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
So this is us approaching a club to interview someone who was supposed to have already been interviewed? You couldn't make it up!
Even Millwall have had a better year than us They got promoted Had a good cup run Voted family club of the year Got in a fight with ISIS
Is this the next Spaniard to be linked with Leeds ? please log in to view this image quite young and ambitious, knows fookall about the Championship so could be worth a shout fits your bill
However there was a new name on the block last night, a Spanish one of course! Fernándo Hierro, mainstay of the Real Madrid defence in the nineties and norties (including facing us in the 2nd group stages of the Champions League in 2001) who recently quit his job at Real Oviedo. Alas this was the mischievous work of a Twitter Troll! However it fooled the bookies and no doubt a few mug punters as Hierro was the odds on favourite with Sky Bet by Tuesday bedtime. Meanwhile Flores-Sanchez's employers Espanyol have rejected Leeds' advances on their man, so this leaves Victor Sanchez, the man sacked three times in two years as the front-runner. Even the Yorkshire Evening Post ran a poll on whether or not the fans wanted him and it was 76% against when I last looked. - See more at: http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/leedsunited/news/45846/#sthash.C1Zf7UHf.dpuf
There were several sources a couple of days back. City want him to go to a championship club, the interviewer asked who and reeled off three or four random clubs (Leeds being one) Celina replied yeah one of them... Also said to be chasing a Man U keeper rated at £5m
