Think we're talking about different things here, Ristac. I interpreted it to mean that the TEAM was young & inexperienced - as in, it's a NEW team, thrown together with lots of new players in a very short time, so still getting to know each other, the shape, the manager's style etc. I wasn't looking at individuals, nor do I think was Mills, as it was a team failure, so you have to look at why the team failed. To me, this cannot be used as an excuse for failure next season - unless we load the team with newvies again (experienced or otherwise).

Not sure if I've made myself clear, even with this 'clarification'. :D

But maybe the team didnt really fail at all. It took the highest points total ever I believe to make playoffs. Was it 80, I cant remember. Maybe just a cast that over the entire season, there were six better teams. We will need to add substantial strength to make us a top two team for next season. That should be the target and not the lottery of the playoffs

Agreed. I was aiming the fail at failing to qualify for the playoffs. I don't think this season has been a failure - I think it's been brilliant. Not just a joy to watch the team, but a joy to watch the attitude of the fans changing & the attendance figures shooting up.

Surely, given where we were when Cellino took over, poor atmosphere, football, attendances etc, he did achieve quite a lot during his tenure. Not as much as we all wanted or he wanted himself of course. He certainly wasnt all bad imo

Agreed. If you look at the before & after picture, there's a huge change. And it was him that kept finding the bodies that Bates & GFH had skillfully hidden. And all this despite GFH refusing to put their hands in their pockets to pay their share.

Seriously, like him or hate him, he was a miracle worker, & I for one am grateful for what he did for our club. 6 more months of GFH & we'd be into the bust, relegated & points deduction cycle again - IF someone bought us. People have short memories when it suits their agenda.

Any idea what you're going to do?

Looks like you might get forced at some time in the future, so would it be sensible to move now & beat the droves? Or might there be a priority allocation for whatever they replace it with?

TBH, if we stay at ER, I'm guessing the West Stand is the priority for improvement. We need an East Stand equivalent on that side, which given the complexity of what's already there might tip the balance towards starting anew elsewhere (hopefully, from a selfish point of view).

It's the hour long bus journey from the bus station to Wetherby that really puts me off. Then the 30 minute walk up the road to the house. All with numerous pints of beer swilling about inside me, trying to escape & nowhere for it to escape into! <yikes><yikes><yikes>

Mate I live in Wakey as well and to be honest getting from anywhere in Wakefield to anywhere in Leeds in a ball ache. Unless you live in Sandal or Outwood you're screwed.
