Talk is cheap... Every **** we have had in over the last fifteen years has been long on talking themselves up, but have delivered **** all apart from calamity. Actions speak louder then words. I want it to be true but until it is, it isnt.
I think from the statement 'play' for Leeds United you've assumed 'start' for Leeds United. Nothing suggests Monk was going to drop Berardi for Taylor but might have used him as substitute for injury / poor game etc. Taylor was still contracted to play for us and it is totally unprofessional he refused to travel to do do if required. We at that point was still paying his wages so that's why Monk had every right to bring him back for the last game.
Berardi prefers to play as a right back but has done very well as a left back last season. Question is, is Coyle ready for first team football
Within Jansson suspended, the strongest team would have meant moving Berardi to right back and playing Taylor at left back for the Wigan game
Very good point Ell. My point was it shouldn't matter what monk had planned, CT is still employed and paid by Leeds United.
Actually LoL I didn't assume anything, I was reiterating what Monk and other people and articles have been saying. it is totally unprofessional he refused to travel to do do if required. If he refused to travel to do do if required, then I'd fine him as well for refusing to do the do do if required, if we needed someone to do the do do, and they refused to do the do do then I'd do the do do all over him with a very big fine for refusing to do the do do if required...... You're right, nothing did suggest Monk was going to drop Berardi, which is why I wrote it as a question however, nothing suggested Monk was going to play Coyle at RB and Taylor at LB either. Did you assume that Monk might have used Taylor as a substitute?
I think Coyle could easily have played this season, but for the fact that we are blessed with 2 more established RBs at the top of their game. I'm pretty sure Coyle has turned out for us at LB too, and most certainly didn't disgrace himself, so that might be another consideration for the coming season. Additionally, just like Taylor & Byram before him, he can be used as a wide midfielder, and has the pace for that role (or wingback, if we ever went down that route). So, in short, the answer is yes - Coyle is ready IMO. And he's flexible, which is a big tick in the box as far as Monk's concerned.
No, I said if Monk wanted to use him as that then as a player contracted to play for Leeds he should make himself available.
Sorry, Matey, but I think you'll find that LL is right. He always is, according to him. And he'll happily knock out a 10,000 word missive to prove it. Often.
if you stopped talking about him and replying to him I wouldn't even have to remember she exists... Please stop!
