Good Morning Everyone Looks increasingly likely that West Brom will bag Charlie Taylor (did you see what I did there?). The 23 year old left back is out of contract, and West Brom are currently at the top of the pecking order to sign him up. Being that Taylor is 23, there will be a fee of around 3m that they will have to pay Leeds. Other clubs will not care if a player had refused to play for their old team. I am aware of the West Brom fan that tweeted that he would not want a player like that at his club. This was so unusual and out of character, that this tweet went viral! @LauraLacole has cleared the first stage of a court battle to have a humanist wedding to #LUFC's @eunan10 legally recognised in Norther Ireland. please log in to view this image According to press reports, we are trying to sign Exeter winger Ollie Watkins, but Bristol City are trying to hijack the deal. Watkins has scored 13 goals this season. The 21-year-old has played most of the season on the wing, but his pace in behind defences means he certainly has the ability to adapt to a more natural centre-forward role.
Morning Elland and all. Another of our young times off to a world class club. Thought Madrid would've been sniffing around Given how good he clearly is. How about Pogbas agent bagging himself 41m from the Transfer to scum. How can that be right in any society or sport. The agents are the problem within our game
Morning Eire, no love lost between Leeds Utd and Colin Pomford, his agent. The FA /Football league surely should be the ones to put plans in place to ensure situations like this where players hold their club to ransom cannot happen. They are the only people that could slap a ban on that player for 3 months / 6 months / 9 months etc.
Good mor Good morning from kef.surely best thing to do is never do business with his agent again.a whole world of players are out there waiting to be discovered.if the exeter lad is fast then give him a go.three months wages should be the minimum fine but it wont happen. Oh well better get a sunbed i will be soon done to a crisp.
Morning all, If Taylor goes to the baggies you can bet he will be walled up by Pulis first, and be told if he ever does anything he hadnt been told to do he would rip his fooking head off. I usually wish our former kids good luck but refusing to play is criminal. Wonder how much Taylors agent will pick up, but the Pogba thing is a joke, almost as bad as Harry Kewill's agent who shafted us with the Liverpool deal. Agents have been the scurge of football ever since they were introduced. All the fiddling in football comes through agents, and the FA have known this but do fook all about it
Morning Wakey, wonder what skeletons Pomford has in his closet. He bases himself in Madrid, so we can't even get to him.
On the Taylor issue, Everyone knew, or had a good idea that Taylor wouldn't be staying, refusing to play is sacrilege, but everyone knew he wasn't staying. A lot of people have weighed in on Taylor's refusal to play, prior to that most were saying it's inevitable he will be leaving, so question is, where's the surprise. Taylors still a kid, chances are his agent advised him and he listened, or was conned, Taylor is under 24. I doubt the fine imposed by Leeds will bother Taylor, WBA won't be bothered by it, they want his football skills but as Doc said, chances are Pullis will read the riot act to him. Once he's gone it'll all die down and everyone will go about their usual holidays followed by their pre season business. So who was Monk going to drop to accommodate Taylor.....Berardi?.....why!!....Taylor's a good LB, but imo Berardi is better than Taylor, he is our best LB or RB as far as I'm concerned. Berardi's been nicknamed the beast by the fans, and for a very good reason. Many said Warnock will be missed, he wasn't, Taylor stepped up and everybody forgot about Warnock, now Taylor's going and Berardi stepped up even higher a while back. Berardi was doing such a great job Taylor found it hard to get his place back, so why bring Taylor back for last game knowing he's going to leave? Monk making such a big deal out of it has ensured animosity will follow Taylor for a short while, at least till the beginning of next season, or was it a deflection. Monk should've just let him go imo, you can't keep a player at a club against his wishes. Out of Byram, Cook, Mowatt and Taylor, I think Taylor will come out on top and prove his worth in PL. If Jansson goes, Wood goes and others, will people say eff off to'em if they don't want to play for Leeds?..........
