Morning....he didn't get backed and he should've, it could be 2011 all over again where Bates was too tight to fork out for Grayson. I think Monk is annoyed and I think it has showed recently, any manager would be but you wont see him laying all the blame at his players.

But we are still in a very good place and its in our own hands, I think we will finish in the playoffs but come up short, but who knows.

All very true. Its not even that Monk was looking for a lot in January, he consistently said a couple of players was all that was required.

 

And that's what he got, two wingers, one rated at €9m and the other he knows well, maybe that's all he wanted. Sacko and Doukara haven't been setting the world alight and we needed better players in those areas

But don't let that ruin a good conspiracy theory

I think its a fair bet that Pedwotsisface wasnt on monks shopping list, and worryingly it might indicate our new owner is another owner wanting to play fantasy football manager with oir club...

Thats a fair comment but i think maybe there was a big Cellino influence in that deal, Radd knows nothing much about football i am sure when the puppet master has gone things will be run differently

 

Didn't Radz say when he arrived that Mr Cellino had advised against his throwing money at the side in January? Convenient of course, but then why all the surprise?

As a manager Monk has proved he is good, but is he LEEDS? If he takes the hump and walks, he was never one of us. But he has the opportunity to make this club great again, and himself a lifetime hero to a lot of fans - those chances don't come too often.

Might not happen this year mind you, but if he sticks with it he has a real chance of looking back in his old age and thinking "I achieved something worthwhile when others couldn't".

Personally, I hope he comes good.
