There's a lot of that goes on. I remember going to a Scotland match & my mate was drinking a can in a close (tenement shared entranceway) when a cop threatened to arrest him if he didn't pour it away. He asked jokingly if he could have a last sip & the was duly informed he's be immediately arrested if he even tried to sip it. Having poured it out, we emerged from the close to see a crowd of German supporters all drinking from cans & wine bottles. Not only that, but there must have been 6-10 of them at the edge of the pavement pissing into the main road. Being me, I couldn't resist asking if the cop was going to call for some help to arrest them. I was told in no uncertain terms to walk on or be arrested for 'Breach of the Peace'. The Germans remained untroubled until they decided to head for the ground. Rules for some. (Perhaps I should have lied & told him I was a mason).
Maybe because the krauts don't feel the need to sit on top of the crossbar after every tri centenary victory?
One of these days, there will be about 30k claims against the FA for providing an unsafe celebration stand that gave you splinters. It has been noticed that you've since moved to metal posts to avoid further litigation, you see. Sadly, as it stands, no-one can remember if it was them that climbed up or not.
