Great news for cricket / Ashes lovers. Cricket Australia confirmed that a peace deal has been formulated and that the Ashes will be going ahead. Great news people!
From the Sydney Morning Herald .................... The negotiating teams from CA and the Australian Cricketers' Association had worked long into the night throughout this week to settle their remaining differences in the drafting of a heads of agreement, as the troubled talks threatened to go off course again. They were at last able to find middle ground on Thursday. The heads of agreement will go to a player vote in the next 24 hours and the ACA will recommend that its members accept the deal, ensuring this month's two-Test series in Bangladesh will go ahead.
Not sure to be honest mate. Cricket Aust. wanted the players to take a flat fee, the Players Assoc. wanted a percentage of the gross. Not sure of the outcome. Both saying they won the fight but we fans may think they lost the war...... and us.
