Thats right football is back! We have no injury problems only fitness problems to contend with. Robert Huth's suspension doesnt count for this game so we have a fully fit and avalible squad. So here is what I would go with

    Schmeichel

    Simpson
    Morgan
    Huth
    Fuchs

    Drinkwater
    Mendy
    King

    Mahrez
    Musa

    Vardy

Subs- Zieler, Hernandez, Amartey, Kaputska, Schlupp, Gray, Okazaki

It shows the depth we have now that if we went with that team we still have Chilwell, Wasilewski, James, Albrighton and Ulloa not in the squad

Its actually quite tough to pick our starting line-up this year!

    For me:

    Schmeichel

    Simpson
    Morgan
    Huth
    Fuchs

    Mahrez
    Drinkwater
    Mendy
    Gray

    Musa
    Vardy

    Schmeichel

    Simpson Morgan Hernandez Fuchs

    Mahrez Drinkwater King Alrighton

    Okazaki
    Vardy

Hendandez is in there as its perfect practice for the Hull game, though arguably harsh on Huth. Barca showed just how much better we are with Huth on the pitch and Vardy starts ahead of Musa to get his fitness up. King seems to offer us better balance and Gray hasnt quite got Albrighton out the team yet. Its great to have some real quality options though!

It's very hard to pick a side for this one, based on new signings and pre-season performances. Genuinely don't know who's going to play this one, but I'm excited whatever team is picked, as there are a lot of exciting new players mixed in with old favourites, and I fully expect everyone to get their chance at some point over the next few weeks. Certain areas have plenty of options (out wide, for example), and the squad as a whole is better, despite the loss of probably our best player, and the unsettling of the next-best. I don't think Vardy is ready to start this match, and Musa has really proven himself in our last game, and is the ideal replacement, so my team is like this:

    Schmeichel
Simpson - Morgan - Huth - Chilwell (just- Fuchs)
Mahrez - Amartey (just- Mendy) - Drinkwater - Albrighton (just- Gray)
    Okazaki - Musa

    I would go for:

    Schmeichel
    Simpson - Morgan - Hernandez - Fuchs
    Gray - Drinkwater - Mendy - Albrighton
    Vardy - Musa

Huth is only suspended for the Hull game so I would play him in this game.

    Schmeichel
    Simpson - Morgan - Huth - Fuchs
    Mahrez - Drinkwater - Mendy - Albrighton
    Vardy - Okazaki

I think Okazaki is going to have a frustrating season with Musa at the club. I think he (Musa) will become our next player with a 30 million pound tag put on him.
I think you're about right with your team Proud although l think it's going to be hard to try and guess the starting XI this season. Hernandez & Gray will be knocking on the door & if Kaputska is as good as he looks...

Okazaki gives us a different option. I'd be really surprised to see Vardy and Musa playing in a 2 together- they're too similar. If Kapustka's good enough I can see him taking Okazaki's place, and I'm sure Ulloa will be rotated in, but at the moment I see Okazaki as more likely to start than Vardy or Musa- while not our greatest player, he's integral to the way we play. Personally, I now see Okazaki as an attacking midfielder more than a striker, maybe that's just how I justify his lack of goals!

...despite the goals by Musa Okazaki was probably our best player against Barcelona... .. the games in Europe will suit him

When you see a strong bench like that plus others that can't even make the bench shows our strength in depth, with maybe 1 or 2 more additions to come.
    Exciting season ahead

... think Ranieri has some interesting decisions to make ...

...he used Schlupp to counter Martial's pace at Old Trafford after Martial's early goal and the tactic worked very well ... both Fuchs and Huth have had 'tough' games in this pre-season tournament ...

Mendy appears to be getting better with each game and Hernandez has looked excellent ...

    Amartey too has impressed...

Vardy is still in need of match practice...but he is the type that soon gets there ...

    ... exciting times.

Amartey not even on the subs bench, is he injured or missed out? His versatility should have seen him included surely. Suppose someone's going to miss out.

Bad back pass that allowed vardy who took his goal well to score...But there is no way Leicester were going to win the game....Man utd were class and should have won by more. Okazaki was unlucky hitting the bar and well done to the Leicester players for applauding Man utd when collecting the trophy....Leicester will do well again this season i think.....they wont win it again but they have a good chance of a European spot.......I wont be surprised if Man utd will be champions this season....Good game...

It's a typical charity shield game where no players wants to get injured or have any cards against them....i thought it was quite an entertaining match where both sides could have gone up a gear if they wanted....

Really? Man U did no more than us, they fool you into thinking they have with the possession but they hardly had many if any more good chances. It summed it up that Musa'a header goes over and a minute later Zlatan's goes in off the post. Fine margins that fell for them on the day. They looked far from champions to me
