Martin is obviously out but the Gaffer said today in his press conference that everybody else is available. So Denis Odoi is presumably back from whatever. Huddersfield are a bit of a surprise package this season. However what a big package they are - think their smallest player is about 7 foot!. They'll be smarting at dropping a couple of points in their draw the other night, thanks to a late Derby equaliser, and clearly will be looking to revenge the 5-0 thumping we gave them at the Cottage. So, back to 'big packages', Wagner is likely to bring back Tom Smith and Nakhi Wells (remember him?) and go 4-2-3-1. For us, what's to change? Probably just the one alteration with Piazon coming in for the young PFA champion, Sessgnon: .........................Bettinelli.............. ..Fredericks...Kalas....Ream...Malone.. .......................McDonald.... ................Cairney.....Johansen... ........Aluko.........Ayite........Piazon....
All I can say is COYW. It would be a massive 3 points. Need Burton to pull a rabbit out of the bag as well. Was I dreaming they play Leeds tomorrow?
The man in the middle today is Andy Davies. We've seen quite a bit of the card waving ex-footballer this season. Last up was the Blackburn game last month and that gut-busting injury time equliser for them in the 2-2 draw at the Cottage. Before that it was the more satisfying 2-0 win over Barnsley at the Cottage in January, the 2-1 defeat in the League Cup to Bristol City back in September, again at the Cottage, and the 3-2 away win over Leyton Orient, also in the League Cup. To be fair, for all his exuberance with cards Andy hasn't dished out many to us. He booked 6 in that Blackburn game but only Fredericks and McDonald annoyed him from our side. None of ours fell foul of him against Barnsley and only Jesse Joronen and Dennis Adeniran did in each of the respective Cup games. That said Andy has the immpressive record so far this season of having accumulated 131 yellows and 4 reds in his 36 matches.
We're on our way .. And very quickly followed by another "Ain't Nobody Like" Cairney .. penalty. Now 2-1 up. COYW
Better late than never guys, here's a stream for the game http://mamahd.com/channel11-live-stream-1.html
Can't have gone better so far. I think we need to take Fredericks off at HT. We can't afford him to get a red.
Very much agreed. He's been fantastic recently and we can't afford a stupid second yellow. EDIT: Yep, Odoi is on.
I don't believe we are playing this well but....................I believe! Thanks for the stream link Cottager, made my day mate.
Controlled the game and even gave them a one goal start. Good team performance again. From my calculations a win at Brentford will take us through to the play offs. I've got my tickets for Sheffield W but happy to go there with the job already done. We're on a roll.
If we win, Leeds could only equal our points. At that point, our +12 goal difference on them could mean we don't need a result at Hillsborough. I'd much rather travel up to Sheffield with a playoff place in the bag!
Great team performance, simply terrific. Just hope Stefan Johansen is okay. Our midfield of Carney, McDonald and Johansen has been unchanged for the last 6 months. All three have been outstanding in the 30 odd games in that time and the reason why we're all buzzing!
What a result. Dreamland at half time. Wonderland at full time. Our destiny is in our hands. I ist add that Brentford will be a difficult game. They won't roll over so I'm not thinking about not having to win at Hillsborough. COYW.
How incredible though, with the run in of Ipswich, Norwich, Villa, Huddesfield ... did anyone have us down for full 12 points ! I can smell those bagels.
Cheers lads - great result for you, and us! - really hope you make the playoffs and win them (assuming we don't manage to screw things up in the next three games ) Seen a few Fulham games this season and been really impressed with the way you've been playing - great football
Ta very much, Bigi. Only worry I'd have for you is Huddersfield loving Andy Madley being 'ref in the middle' for your game Monday night. He's tried his worst to ruin our season in the 3 games we've had him.
Fingers crossed that all the negative press and questions raised about his appointment works in our favour as hopefully he'll be to worried about giving anything controversial (hopefully) With the way goal difference is, we basically need 2 points from last three games (Preston, Cardiff, Barnsley) - don't think even we can mess that up....
