First off, let me say i think there is virtually zero chance of progressing in this tournament.
However, if there is to be even the faintest chance we need some inspired individual performances and perhaps even a couple of Real dismissals.
I'm going for a lot of pace/trickery to draw fouls and also players that are more likely to have an inspired evening.

GK - Gomes - simple choice

RB - Kaboom - Only fit right back, plus a useful goal threat.

CB - Dawson - Main man, and goal threat from corners

CB - Gallas - Pops up with the odd goal and is our most experiened CLer.

LB - Bale - Go on my son!

RW - Lennon - Tear 'em a new one!

CM - Hudd - Offence from own half. Needs to provide cover also. Tough, tough ask.

CM - Krancjar (is he fit?) - Goals from midfield!

LW - Modders - Would love to see Modders and Bale up against Ramos. I don't think Ronaldo will help out much and i think both are hard working enough to be effective defensively

Free - VdV - Guile. Could provide inspiration

ST - Defoe - Has pace and more trickery than Crouch/Pav. Occasionally goes goal crazy, we need one of those nights.

Harry can't stick around too long with players that are having an off day. I'm mostly looking at VdV and Defoe here. Take 'em off at half time if it ain't happening.

    Who would you drop CG?
Krancjar from midfield and shift Modders across?

That was the thing i was least certain about in my team. However i'd still go with the added goal threat of Krancjar, if he's fit that is.
