http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/01/1...wansea-city-keen-on-norwich-citys-alex-pritc/ Is this the best Clement can attract with all of his 'contacts?
From what I can see, it appears that Clement is no different to the last few managers and is bowing down to HJ and allowing him to dictate who we sign, that's how it seems anyway. I was hoping that he would have been the first one we had in a while who would have been is own man. Appears not.
Why are we looking at strikers? If fifa's proposed scrapping of the offside rule goes ahead, we already have the world's no1 striker on our books....bring back gomis
Don't like the sound of this. I believe he is preparing us for no more signings, just allowing him and our ****e board to say last day 'Well we tried but we couldn't manage to get anything done.' We are pathetic and what happened to this 30m we had available. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/swansea-city-fans-could-face-12478221 I did like this statement," I don’t want to mention individual positions, there are a couple of things we want to do but only if they better what we have got.” That doesn't have seemed to worry him or the board up till now.
TLF - in reality, nothing much has changed re how we operate. Huw still controls transfers; Dineen still heavily involved in Commercial matters
'Transfer dealings could go right down to the wire', says Swansea City boss Paul Clement Welcome to Football manager Jinx style, truly breathtaking stuff...............
I see this guy is available on a free as unattached after leaving Al Jazira, rumoured to be maybe on way to Sheff Wed, worth a punt till the end of the season. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_Farfán
I don't think we should be preparing for the championship yet and should still sign players with a chance of keeping us up and unlike some I think the three we have signed fall into that category. I don't think this guy does.
How about steven caulker? He's become a bit of a forgotten man. Once tipped to become the next Rio Ferdinand but since joining Cardiff his career has taken a nosedive. Maybe a return to the club that kickstarted his career is what we both need. I'd certainly would love to have the Caulker of season 11/12 back. The question is, does he have the attitude we need in a relegation battle? He certainly didn't show it with Cardiff and QPR.
That version of him would walk into our team and immediately become our best defender. Think we've seen the best of him tbh.
I think I agree. Ive been thinking about what CB could sort our defence out. Honestly I can't think of one realistic target.
