Is there any truth in the rumour that you believe that LJ was the man on the grassy knoll, the one armed man and the kidnapper of Shergar?
Right. So going by your logic. if any City manager (LJ or not) does all of the digging, identifies targets, makes the offers, essentially sorts the transfer, MA is the one who approves it and therefore he gets credit? Absolute nonsense mate. I know in reality that's not how it works but to credit MA and not LJ for the Tammy transfer is not fair whatsoever.
Rob the impression i have is the behind the scenes crew identify players, then LJ is told,as was the case with Giever if you watch the video,LJ did not seem to know much about him, other than comment he is supposed to be a good keeper. He almost seemed clueless when questioned about him. Which makes me think, Des Taylor was responsible for finding the players, hence him moving onto Liverpool recently.
I'm sure he would have put a case together to go and sell the proposition to Chelsea, and his family. I'm led to believe we are paying his full wages of £25000 a week.
Right. So you can surely concede that LJ was part of that transfer as much as (at least) Mark Ashton? And we've all heard what you're led to believe mate and how much of it turns out to be true
He gets his secrets from Facebook, but he's getting ripped into at the moment by one poster it's funny
I am not a Lee Johnson fan but this article shows it was down to him we signed Tammy and fair play, the article obviously is about Tammy but the first few paragraphs cover the Johnson connection... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/sep/16/tammy-abraham-chelsea-loan-bristol-city
Red Robin this is for you bud! “It was a relationship we built in pre-season,” says Abraham, who joined City the day before their Championship campaign began. “The manager came to my house, saw my family and I got to meet him then as well. That’s when he earned my family’s trust and my trust really. He told me about the stadium, the players, who I would get on with and it was from there I knew it was Bristol City where I wanted to be.”
100% new that,LJ was obviously there to show his credentials to Tammy, and his family, what i'm saying was the wheels were put in motion higher up the chain. Then LJ had to sell the club to them.
Tammy Abraham's loan move to Bristol City from Chelsea almost never happened. It looked as though his proposed move to BS3 could be off. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tammy-abrahams-loan-move-bristol-2093 “I’d like to thank Chelsea for their support in this deal. Lee Johnson has played a major part, along with (head of scouting) Des Taylor and (head of football operations) Luke Werhun.” http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/city-loan-in-chelsea-and-england-u19-forward-3226667.aspx
