I wanted Monk and it is sad that the small outfit down the road is a more attractive option than SAFC now. Let's give this new manager the benefit of the doubt, some very worrying comments from Bristol though
My ex's Sister used to work for Bristol City and is a massive fan of theirs - she has just texted me and said McInnes would've been a great manager had he been given the funds the current gaffer had. Said he was brilliant on the training field and always wanted the right players but the owners let him down. I'm willing to back him no matter what - it's Sunderland - I can;t help loving the club!! Maybe something uninspiring is just what we need - after all, we were all inspired by Moyes........ Oh hang on....
Well, we live in hope. Despite deserving relegation more than any other club, SAFC is a very special club with great fans. If the Man U or Chelsie lot had to put up with what SAFC dished up over the last 15 years, their places would be empty
Let's not concern ourselves with the opinions of Bristol City fans, Aberdeen fans or anyone else. It's our own opinion that counts come the new season. I think given time and backing Del will do a good job, but he has to be given time, because its a massive rebuilding job that isn't going to happen over one season. We're probably looking at four transfer windows before we'll have the semblance of a good first team squad.
Decent manager to be fair. Whatever will be, will be. A bit more hope with him than you would have had under Moyes to be fair.
Bristol city was 4 years ago and you would hope that lessons have been learned since then. The bloke has my full support. (Has he actually joined yet?)
Chairman Stewart Milne released this statement: "Given what Derek has achieved here, there is inevitably going to be interest from other clubs and in making the decision to stay, he has demonstrated how much Aberdeen Football Club means to him. "It is now up to all of us, the Board, staff, players and supporters to show how much we appreciate having him at the helm by getting right behind him in every way possible."
Not surprised that managers are turning us down left, right and centre. Every name that's been mentioned has been slagged of on many of the social media sites by so called fans..
Think were all jumping to conclusions here. It may be Bain cannot guarantee his own job never mind NcInnes if there are new owners coming in.
