The most interesting bit is the lufc silence. Complete radio silence will be part of it from both sides. When bates comes out and says nowt is happening is when it has all fallen apart

Well it looks like it gathering pace, I hate this do we get our hopes up or do we just laugh it off until something concrete happens, sometimes I wish I hated football.

Re tweets about investment/takeovers at #lufc - I'm aware of firm interest but still trying to establish full details

Been told of two separate parties who are interested in #lufc, one seems to be much further down the line than the other.

finally bates has realised he can't run a football club. Or rather, he's realised he's failing at it and will probably try buy Portsmouth next.

Bates has already stated he wouldn't be doing his weekly piece during the off season. Even Bates runs out of Bullshit eventually.

When it comes to the takeover rumours, I am always reminded of a quote of Charles Haughey. It's time to **** or get off the pot.

iallfb I wouldn't be so sure. The man loves the sound of his own voice and having his own version of Igor asking him questions off a script like a lapdog doing tricks.

It's all a bit suspicious and I think he'd have a bigger reason for not doing them. The man is rattled as we're in the **** financially and it may be that the buyers now have leverage in that he's ****ed if he doesn't attend to their every need. The club being in the **** probably means he's in a hole that he can't dig himself out of and that his own personal wealth may be at risk. I want to believe the takeover bid, so I am going to speculate that they have asked him to shut his ****ing mouth and he's in no position to bargain.

Imagine if the owners of lesta saw sense and wanted to invest in a big club with amazing potential. How many minutes would it take for them to go into administation?

Let's not get too carried away though guys, remember this will still be a business deal involving Ken Bates.
