Not even they deserve that........... Currently playing in the 2nd Division, think Ryman League standard. Apparently your man Lee Power is a local Waterford man made good, only stepped in when no one else was prepared to put any cash into the club to save it from extinction, losing money on a weekly basis, he'll not see any return on his investment.......
They've fallen a long way since I lived there in the 70s when they were one of the top three teams in that league...
Don't think they're even in the top 3 in Waterford these days!!!!!! Sadly the professional era passed them by and they've gone backwards ever since, nearly all part time players these days at that level. It's only the likes of Dundalk that can operate as a Professional going concern....speaking of which I heard that they've organised a friendly against Brentford tomorrow so they can stay match fit for the UEFA Cup ties that they have coming up, the season finished over here a few weeks ago......
Normal service has been resumed for Tim I see... Swindon's new DoF just lost 3-1 to non league Eastleigh
No the DoF didn't...tonight the coach made the team lose....wasn't the DoF fault...on Saturday however it was Tim's win
Apparently he came down, sat on the bench and then started shouting instructions from the technical area. Guy is a class A bellend - what effect that will have on the head coach and players is anyone's guess, but it must make the coach's position untenable. To humiliate someone publicly like that is unforgiveable, the only bright point is that all his 'sage' advice made absolutely no difference to the result.
SHER-SHOCK Tim Sherwood: Swindon Town director of football shocked by non-League Eastleigh in FA Cup replay EASTLEIGH were the shock winners in tonight’s FA Cup first round replays with a 3-1 victory away at Swindon Town. The two teams drew 1-1 in the first game, forcing a replay. But this time there was a clear winner. please log in to view this image Eastleigh boss Ronnie Moore celebrates as his side dumped Swindon out of the FA Cup Interestingly, Tim Sherwood, recently installed as director of football at the County Ground, was on the bench for the game. He took a firm hold of tactical duties, leaving manager Luke Williams in the shadows. please log in to view this image Tim Sherwood took on the managing duties for Swindon tonight – and his side lost 3-1 to non-League Eastleigh please log in to view this image Eastleigh’s Jai Reason wheels away after putting the minnows into the lead against Swindon Following The Robins’ 3-0 victory against Charlton on Saturday, Williams said that he was happy for the former Aston Villa and Tottenham boss to help out in the dugout. But the “Tim Sherwood effect” didn’t prove to be a positive one tonight. National League Eastleigh took the lead after only 16 minutes. Jai Reason scoring from the left side of the box. And the minnows went into the break with a shock 2-0 lead when Andy Drury beautifully chipped Swindon keeper Lawrence Vigouroux in the 35th minute. ****ing clown... whatever happens with Ollie, at least you know he is at heart a decent human being. Sherwood is anything but... he lacks experience (despite what the Swindon Head Coach says in his interview), but more than that he lacks humility - the idea that he would walk onto the pitch and take over in the manner he did says more about the character of the man than any fine words could. He has behaved despicably to a fellow professional, frankly Swindon would do well to sever their ties asap - looks like a huge mistake from here.
