The Swans had victory snatched from their grasp by Seamus Coleman's late equaliser. Nevertheless, Swans' Manager Bob Bradley would have been heartened by a much improved and battling performance but he must realise that the Swans need victories, and need them urgently. Whilst the Swans were securing a point at Goodison Park, Crystal Palace were losing 2-1 to Pep Guardiola's Man City. That was the 5th consecutive PL defeat for Alan Pardew's men, although the Palace Manager believes that those 5 results have not reflected what Palace deserved from those matches. Swansea and Palace have played each other on 25 occasions, with the Swans winning 10, Palace 5 and there have been 10 draws. In fact, the corresponding fixture at The Liberty Stadium last season was one of those drawn matches, when the teams drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace ending a run of five straight defeats thanks to Scott Dann's fifth goal of the season as Swansea slipped to four points above the Premier League relegation zone. Gylfi Sigurdsson's fine free-kick gave Swansea a well-earned half-time lead. Palace equalised soon after the restart with Dann's close-range finish from a corner. Sigurdsson almost snatched victory with another free-kick, but his late effort was well saved by Wayne Hennessey. Turning to Saturday's match, it is a genuine 6-pointer and a game that neither side can really afford to lose, particularly the Swans. Defeat for the Swans would seemingly indicate that the Swans will be unable to turn things around. In many respects, a point would also be insufficient for the Swans, yet arguably a point may suit Palace, keeping distance between themselves and Bradley's men. My heart tells me a nervy 2-1 home win, but my head says 1-1.
We must not only win this game , we have to put in a performance that has Palace not even close to gaining a point . Do that and we have a December built on a foundation of confidence , don't do it and my money is on a stagnate December built on finger pointing and confusion from the top of our board all the way down to the last player . 5 games under his belt should mean Bradley has seen enough to manufacture strong performances up to the New Year and a much stronger band of players on the run in . Sign me confident but anxious
If we don't beat Palace who are without a win in 5, then we have had it, we are at home, and we need now to get back to making it 'Fortress Liberty', our home games are now more than ever critical to climbing up the table.................
Will Bob win a game before he is sacked? How long will we gamble with poor managers? How will the landscape look after 5pm on Saturday?........
Ok can we make sure everyone in the south stand has one of these to help our players. Did make me laugh.
That's a great video haha. As much as its nice having you fans hang around the PL (always nice to have boards that are active) i can't see you guys winning here. You don't pass it around anymore and if you plan on lumping the ball up (to be fair i haven't seen you play too much) then delaney and dann will gobble all that up. As for palace, they are strong in 2 areas, on the wings (your full backs are shocking if Taylor plays and Rangel is too old in the tooth) so townsend and zaha could have a field day. The other area is set pieces/crosses and you guys are horrible at defending those. Fabianski is a great shot stopper but does not command the area. Your defence is changing every other game. As for tinker Bob, you might get a draw if he sticks with the same solid team but seeing what he's been doing, it wouldn't surprise me if he changes his team completely and thinks he has to go 442 again

The team to beat Palace IMO . ......................................................................................................................Fab Naughton ........................................................Fernandez ..................................................VDH...............................................................Taylor ...........................................Cork ................................................................................................................Britton ................. Fer ............................................................................................................Siggy ....................................................................................Montero ..............................................................................................................Llorente
No fernandez or Britton for me that will be a very physical game......fern will make his customary bad passes when under pressure and Britton will be mulled over by the palace big boys just like Man utd did with ease........
Looks like a possibility of facing a new Palace manager by game time ... not sure if that's a good thing or bad .
---------------------Fabianski---------------------- Naughton - Amat - van de Hoorn - Kingsley --------------Fer - Siggy - Fulton----------------- ---------Barrow - Llorente - Routledge---------
Palace players and staff are bigging this up as a do or die game, any which way to win, looks like this is going to be someone's Waterloo, could we lose this game?
Palace have the worst record in the PL during the calendar year so far....... They've lost their last 5 matches....... Lose again and Pardew could be sacked........ He will wind them up something rotten...... It won't be for the faint hearted...... Last season they came to the Liberty having lost their previous 5 PL matches ....... they drew 1-1 No team has (I believe) ever lost 6 consecutive PL matches... Confident ?.........
Palace are a poor side but we are worse, at least right now. The table doesn't lie. Definitely a classic 6 pointer but I must have faith in the team and we have been playing a lot better of late. Should be tight. 2-1.
