Defoes body is outside the box on that, mate. Hard to tell, though. I don't think MOTD will show it from different angles either, because it's not an important game, I don't think they'll be much of a summary.
Yeah, they've done it around the transfer window with rumours. Bri is good for spotting them picking up on what gets posted here, it was him that showed me they had jumped on my post about AJ's house.
I like the idea that in not telling them the youths opinion, we have, in some small way, told them to **** off. Especially if they`ve seen the previous posts and were quite looking forward to it. Even more so after the way they`ve gone on about Defoe. Small pleasures I know but every little helps.
f a cup died years ago lads due to these tosser managers/owners, worried about staying in the premier league. Give me relegation but win the F A cup any day but the cash greedy owners don't want that. Very dissapointed with that teams attitude today, 1973 will never happen again at this club. The youngsters will have the un necessary task at Burnley plus that scumbag Barton.
Looks like a pretty dour game to me. Pleased I didn't go! Rowell seemed to have a decent game by most accounts. Papy is hopeless when the ball is played in behind him, can never seem to get his feet right. Would have liked to have seen some of the kids given a run out. Also could've done without the replay.
My concerns re Moyes are comming back why name these promising players on the bench yet not play them when we are clearly failing to kill the game off -worst event - bring some on and we lose and out of the cup Or is it a veiled message to Short that we need reinforcements Who knows but at least we are in the 4th round .....draw We struggled early on in '73 cup triumph KTF
I can't open the BBC highlights, and none on the SAFC website. What a shame,eh. Sounded dire. At least Denayer is back, and did well in c. defense by all accounts - good news with Kone at ACN. Rodders improved again, but ran out of gas. Apparently the U23s have a big game today vs top of the table Everton, but surely 10 mins for a few of them wouldn't hurt anyone - it probably hurts JOS more. A bit bewildering from our dour Scot, as I don't think Short needs to be reminded how thin our squad is. Onto next week vs Stoke.... who got knocked out by Wolves, at home.
If the foul happens on the line it's a pen mate, not a free kick, everything in the box and including the whole line is the penalty area. Depends where the foul started mind.
Maybe Moyes should see some video of SAFC first 23 games in 76/77, followed by video of last 19 games of that season. Don't know wether we have any young Rowells, Arnotts or Elliotts - but imagine if we had 3 that could have the same impact as they did ! Good players, heart with the club, fan favourites -- will allways be remembered.
Agree about Short and lack of players -I was showing how wrong the d our Scot was - did'nt realise about the important U23 game today but a winning 1st team is vital not just important imo. I"'ll give benefit of doubt to Moyes but if don't beat Stoke pressure on him will start to increase KTF
Klopp fields an entire team of kids in the cup, Moyes can't bring himself to bring one solitary ****ing youth player on as a sub. One of these managers has balls, the other one does not.
And yet both managers have teams in the hat for the next round and both are getting grief for their team selections! Who'd be a footy manager eh !?!?
Exactly always expect the unexpected or should that be expect to under perform regardless of management - or positively - we are a premiership team with champion league quality fans KTF Thats football !
