Don't doubt that you are right and you could also say the same about Kane. But the quote was that right now he is better than Gibson. I don't think he is.

Apparently Man City want £24M for Iheanacho plus a buy back clause - can see that deal being dead in the water.
I guess its not unreasonable given his performances when hes had a chance, given a full season, he could probably get 15+ goals. The buy backs probably only there so they don't look stupid like Chelsea with Lukaku.
I would pay the money for him depending on how much the buy back was for. It would have to be at least £50M
I wouldn't see him playing alongside Vardy because that won't work. We need Sigurdsson or stick with Okazaki because that work rate is imperative and we can't do without it. He'd be the perfect back up for Vardy and he's well worth £24m.
Get him in. 24m is peanuts for a player of his quality in today's market. 50m buy back clause. Everyone's a winner
Incidentally the reason why Kelechi won't work with Vardy is the same reason Slimani won't, they're all no.9's. This is something that really irritates me when people slag Slimani off because he's being played out of position and asked to do the donkey work and it's not his game. He plays on the shoulder the same as Vardy except he thrives on early balls into the box rather than in behind. We need to start playing him to his strengths but for me Vardy is first choice so Slimani has to replace him and our attack to change to suit him when he comes on and if Vardy stays on the pitch then he drops in because let's face it, if Slimani is coming on then we need a goal because whatever we were doing wasn't working so make that change and switch things up with our attack.
We are still after Jonny Evans and have apparently made another bid for him. We are also linked with Chris Smalling. Both will be around the same price and I out of the two I would prefer Smalling - is younger, has more big match experience and would fit into our defense better imo.
Yeah definitely with you there mate, younger as you say, English is a bonus and he's going to be far easier if WBA aren't willing to sell. I've always thought Smalling is a quality player and Vardy said he was his toughest opponent so that'll do for me. Obviously things haven't been so rosy at United but you don't lose that quality and I genuinely think him and Maguire will be the centre half pairing to we need for the owners "five year plan". I said this summer will reflect our plans for the future and it's turning out that way so far.
Swansea are rumoured to be interested in Ulloa to replace Gomis - potential for a swap + money deal for Siggurdsson. West Brom are still interested in Musa - could consider a straight swap deal for Jonny Evans. Finally, we look to be losing out on Jakupovic - Watford are after him and will offer him first team football and a reunion with his old manager Silva.
Yeah was thinking those two scenarios myself. Not too fussed about Jak, don't blame him for going to Watford he should be playing not on our bench. Hamer is good enough, he's no worse than Zieler anyway. It's pretty hard to find a decent keeper whose happy to be on the bench.
Just reading comments from United and Spurs fans and they're both saying how ridiculously bad he is on the ball, how bad his passing is and that he's a mistake waiting to happen. I've never read so many comments all saying the same thing so I'm not sure what to think anymore.
Think we are wasting our time going back for Evans. WBA won't sell unless it's a ridiculous 20m+ bid, could become a Deeney situation. Spurs are apparently in for Smalling. Can't see either of these deals coming off.
