Read the posts back. It was mostly me having to tell you why I was posting transfer news on a transfer thread. Which was factual.
I am seriously thinking of quitting this site, The level of petty bickering by a few irritating posters is spoiling any enjoyment I have had in interfacing with my fellow Canary fans. There is no room for enmitys on here, if you can't be civil. leave.
What level of intelligence do you people have? You do not adhere to any cogent form of intelligent repartee but any person raising this fact is provocative? This site, I believe, is a Norwich City fans forum. the word "FANS" seems significant to me.
It is not those two comments in their own selves, but the endless diatribes between posters, yourself included, that makes life on this site uncomfortable. Sorry, I post on this site to enjoy news and interface with fellow Canary faithful, not to wade through tranches of personal abuse..
I Didn't given him personal abuse I was having to explain why I posted the breaking news. I did post the transfer news about 12 hours before the club announced it. I'm glad I can enhance your experience.
Not sure. He played for the U23's on 4th August, but isn't involved at all tonight. Can't find anything official. In terms of signing Raggett, I guess our CB situation isn't yet "critical"? In a 4-1-4-1 we have Martin as cover, and in a 3-5-2 we have Godfrey, or the option to reshuffle. Klose isn't all that far off too. At least Raggett can get game time at Lincoln, and we can bring him in if we get desperate. There's been enough reported about Leistner that I think our interest there is genuine. I can't see us allegedly bidding €3.5m then €4.5m for a player, and meeting with his agent, to then turn around and sign a non-league CB (then loan him back out) and think that's sufficient. Even if Leistner is a no go, you'd expect us to be pursuing targets in a similar price bracket instead. Should we now not sign another "first choice" CB, I'm left assuming that either we couldn't make a satisfactory deal, or that there was interest in Klose which has for whatever reason ended, with Leistner in the frame to replace him.
Bloody typical of some NCFC fans. Moan when we spend loads on an unsuccessful player such as RvW, Naismith - then moan when we pick up a perceived bargain...because he didn't cost a fortune! Gimme strength
I'd rather see us buy hungry young players, whose careers are on the up than over paid primadonnas who are looking towards the end of their careers. Good buy!
Thanks for that about Fonkeu. DH. My thinking is similar about the CB situation but we'll have to wait and see. Raggett isn't really that 'young' a player at 24, but he lacks experience at this level. It seems that allowing him to stay at Lincoln until January tipped the deal in our favour. Though the U23s lost 4-0 at Boro, it was good to see Toffolo getting a full game. Godfrey was captain and new signings Phillips and Abrahams both played the whole game as well. Efete came back from loan to play as well. City XI: Oxborough, Godfrey (c), Toffolo, Phillips, Odusina, Efete, Higgs, Mututala-Sambu (Aransibia 46), Abrahams, Cantwell, Middleton Subs not used: Hallett, Hlynsson, Wallis
