Joining Coventry by the looks of it. Presuming we haven't paid his contract up or something equally expensive, it's good to see we've managed to get more dead weight off the books. Be interesting to see how he gets in at Coventry. I can see him doing ok there.
Well, at least he payed us back for his 1M fee! I will always have memories of all his key moments. Sometimes, you just have to applaud our board and recruitment staff. And thank them, so hard!
£1m well spent by our former manager AN - should have sold him earlier and used the money we wasted on buying him to help boost the coffers in signing a proper striker instead of shipping him out on loan to Jockland. Was never given a proper chance by Alex.
Was a strange signing, AN knew him very well, signed him, and then ignored him.I expect him to shine for Coventry. At least he had the ambition to play so wanted to cancel his contract and move on rather than sitting around drawing his money for nothing. He most certainly will be getting substantially less at Coventry than he was with us.
When I got up this morning, midnight for UK, I saw an article saying that SW attended a Union Berlin game and was negotiating to buy Leistner. I believe we had a 3.5m euro bid rejected earlier. Was pictured with his agent according to Berlin Sports.
The link to Berlin Sports in the article has said picture of Webber and Leinster's agent. Fingers xd! Although it's too late for Sunderland... Martin is going to get minced again if we play 3 at the back :-/
Klose is back in training, so fingers crossed he's available soon. I'm ok with Martin in a 3 at the back formation as he can cover RB if the WB is late getting back. With Pinto fit again, we shouldn't need to play Wildschut at RB. That for me was the main problem at Fulham.
Bloody pre season 'friendlies' - so he'll miss the ip5wich game amongst many others!!! Edit - good to see that JM and Wes have struck up a good understanding and we'll have Naismith (WHO???) back in the reckoning for the visit of QPR, as not sure Wes is up to playing 3 games in 9 days.
Pritchard is one of our best players and it's annoying that he will sit out a big chunk of our season but. This has given Maddison the chance to shine so silver linings and all that guff.
I don't QUITE agree DD, as I feel JM would even brighter with Pritchard in the team than he would with Wes. I'm just eating some 'humble pie', as I was in favour of letting Wes go!!!
He will surely get more opportunities without an £8m Superstar in the frame ? and Naismith is just coming back from a ban.
Working hours permitting I'm going to the Charlton game @JM Fan and the Brum game in September Pregame pint alert
Yes, I'll be getting a ticket for the Brum game on Monday, as I bought a Super Membership to ensure I can tickets when I want them.
Given that Wes and Maddison each have a goal and two assists, we've managed pretty well during Pritchard's injury. Naismith offers another alternative after his suspension, probably from the bench.
