Haven't we got slots left in out 25 senior players list though? so we have until the list need submitting, weds?

 

I think Valdes would be an awesome buy. First off, a winner, played with the greatest in the world, been there and done that. I also think certain games his style would be preferred over migs. He would be another point of attack. Imagine not having to have Gerrard drop so far back as Valdes could ping it around? He is certainly used to the style. I think having proper competition for Migs is only beneficial as well.

 

You've been linked with Valdes. Supposedly to join when he recovers from his injury. I don't think he's anything better than average, he was lucky to be in the right place at the right time with Barca who never felt the need to spend big on a world class keeper. I know a lot of Liverpool fans don't rate Mignolet, although he's always looked decent on the few occasions I've seen him play, but I don't think Valdes would be an improvement, in fact I'd say he's worse than Mignolet and as he can't hold a cross he'd have to undergo some serious de Gea treatment which will result in a season of howlers.

 

Thing with Valdes is wages. If he's on 100k a week can we afford to have him on the bench or mig who is probably on 60/70k a week on the bench? Chelsea can afford it... But can we?

 

Whether we rate Migs or not is irrelevant, Brod does and therefore he will remain number one. However, Valdes is better than Jones.

Cheers RHC would of been interesting if he would of passed a medical at Arsenal as we all know Chelsea can easily write off any costs.

 

I count our 1st team squad at 25, but Suso and Sterling don't have to be registered.

If you have free slots in the squad can't they be filled by players who are signed on a free despite the age of the player?
