As you say it is important people are patient. If we get four points before the Man City game (16/9) I'll be happy.

But as always some will expect us to be competing for Europe by the time you arrive. But that's life.

 

With Andre gray joining that should take some of the spot light off Rich unless we get a 20M bid for Troy

a further goalie ( not pressing though as Gomes is a firm first choice up to now)

 

Wouldn't disagree with that YH, but the main one for me is a LB. Holebas is always a suspension waiting to happen but it is an area we can improve on anyway

We need a right winger to upgrade on Amrabat, but sounds like Femenia may be able to play there too. Janmaat is an injury waiting to happen so can't rely on Femenia being a RW all season... so is still a desirable position to bring someone in

Keeper - Arlauskis must be off as he didn't get a squad number. Pantillimon is a decent enough back-up and probably won't kick up a fuss about being second choice - but would be nice to bring someone is with long-term thinking to replace Gomes, but maybe next summer now

Otherwise I would like us to bring in a pacey Centre Back - but we have 7 CBs (including Hoban) so need to offload 3/4 first

 

If you think about it, that's exactly what we will be doing from 12:30 on Saturday...

 

From sat we are competing to win the league its just how quickly we have to lower our sights

Comment from a Burnley supporter (on Wobby) that they were glad to see the back of him. Since WFC always claim to do thorough research on any player, including attitude etc, it will be interesting to see how well he does, and what happens if he isn't in the team. From my limited viewpoint - only seen him once, he looks a good player and entirely what we need.

He fits the Pozzo mould: young, home grown, not yet realised his potential, somewhat chequered history... we could be the making of him, that's the gamble the Pozzo's take.
