Welcome to the site mate, good player but on very big wages. ======================================== Sunderland send loan failure Sulley Muntari back to Internazionale • Midfielder will return to Serie A club with immediate effect • No permanent move after disappointing four-month spell Share4 Reddit Buzz up Press Association guardian.co.uk, Friday 13 May 2011 08.39 BST Article history Sunderland v Fulham - Premier League Sulley Muntari, left, has failed to impress Steve Bruce during his loan spell at Sunderland from Internazionale. Photograph: Chris Brunskill/Getty Images Sunderland have decided not to take up an option to buy the on-loan midfielder Sulley Muntari on a permanent deal and confirmed the Ghana international will return to Internazionale immediately. Muntari has failed to impress since moving to Wearside in January and the Sunderland manager, Steve Bruce, will look elsewhere for reinforcements in the summer. The 26-year-old Muntari, who has also played in the Premier League for Portsmouth, contributed to Sunderland's winner at Bolton Wanderers last week when his shot was bundled into his own net by Zat Knight. However, he has otherwise generally disappointed in the Black Cats' poor second half of the season. Bruce said: "Sulley has been a great professional in his time here and naturally we'd like to thank him for his contribution to our season and wish him all the best for the future."
