    BlockMad...

Why on earth would you want to keep Youga who has not kicked a ball in anger for 18+ months (only way I'd give him a pay as you deal is if he has a full injury free pre season) and Fortune who is clearly carrying a knee problem and has been absolutely awful when he has played?

We are not running a charity for lame footballers and imo giving a contract to these two is money down the drain. Money that desperately needs spending to strengthen our poor squad!

I would be amazed if we ever see Youga in a charlton shirt again!

Agree mostly with AllHell but would like us to keep Reid, I think he consistently attacks and is the only player in the side that builds up a sense of anticipation when he gets the ball.

I would also be inclined to stick with Benson, although it appears BWP disagrees :)

    Calydon...

Never a truer words spoken mate. Those pair as seriously poor excuses for pro footballers. I'd happily pay their cab fare back to southend...!

Really Blockmad... You'd keep the injury plagued, hopelessly out of form, hardly played any football for the last three years John Fortune over Dailly? Thank Christ you're not in charge mate <laugh>

on the basis we sign 3 central defenders and the conversion of semedo yep, hes a capable back-up at this level.

It's rather presumptious of you to assume we're going to sign three new CB's let alone that our gaffer actually has the vision to deploy Semedo at CB... I sincerely hope you're convictions are proved right mate!

Beb davison has been kept..that does surprise me as no one seems to talk about him...I`d def keep Benno he`s decent at this level ,holds up play and wades in with his share of goals...given an injury free suspension free season he`ll do well, worth retaining.
Him and BWPpotentially a good partnership.Liked the look of Harriott v Hartlepool and with reid gone we need another wide player.
Waggy hard working and good team player will only get better.
Would release Doc and fortes but id Llera`s off thenwe have to keep either or..toss up between the two.

I like the look of BWP and Benson as our front two. I'd be more than happy to roll with them and I deffo fancy them to score the goals to put us in the mix at the business end of the table...

What's all this about BWP slagging off Benson...? Doesn't bode well if it's true!

Franco, in the interview that BWP did saying we should be amoung the front runners next season, he said that he thought we needed another striker. Like Mike I thought that Benno probably wouldn't like that BUT the better teams have three or four good strikers and we just have 2 plus 1 who's always injured. His comments probably say more about his thoughts on Anyinsah rather than Benno <ok>

Thanks for clearing that up for me AllHell...

Like you i think his comments can be taken two ways. I'd be surprised if he was having a pop at Benson cos those two looked to have a decent understanding/relationship in the games i saw em play together.
