Steve McClaren sacked

Steve McClaren has been sacked as Derby County manager for a second time, five months after he was reappointed.
Derby, 10th in the Championship, said they acted following a "significant, unexpected and persistent decline in results, team unity and morale".

Why the hell did they take him on again?

 

I really dont care. Maybe cos he looks like a cockatoo. Maybe he eats celery uncooked. Maybe he has stolen Adam Johnsons facebook account.

I guess i really dint give a flying ****.

It looks like his replacement is going to be Gary Rowett. So, for some of us at least, that dream has gone.

Surprised really. I figured he'd wait for a better club. I'd love to see him at Newcastle when Rafa inevitably gets screwed over by Ashley and leaves.

 

Surely this is the end for McClaren now..

 

Derby seems to be a bit of a poisoned chalice club, a few decent managers have failed there, like Pearson and Clement. Rowett is a very shrewd operator at that level though, he'd have been my first choice to replace Moyes when our fate is finally sealed.

 

He certainly does not deserve another management job - time to retire.

 

So he will come here hehe.

Marco Gabbiadini said rowett wouldn't come here (he's mates with him) on Radio Newcastle whoich tells you everything you need to know about the club at the moment!!
