Steele

Lens----Ndong----Catts----Khazri
Maja-----Grabban

I'd swap Steele and Maja for Ruiter and McCormack if they're in in time.

Both big blows. Particularly gutted for Maja, he did enough to earn his shot imo. And by the next game we may very well have signed McCormack who you'd think would go straight into the starting lineup. Shame for the lad.

 

Just read that Grayson said Lens probably wouldn't make the squad anyway as his move is close. Think Maja will still be involved plenty this season.

 

I feel certain that Maja will play his part this season, the fact that our two best strikers are missing, will not help the cause, sadly I think it looks like we have seen the last of Lens, some will be pleased but not me.

 

My feeling is maja will be loaned out

 

Big shame he's injured as in my opinion he could have made a loan unnecessary, but its a tough call this one, and you may well be right.

 

It looks like the pitch is being shortened both length and width. This makes sense to me with the amount of quick and direct players in the Championship. Less chance of our useless centre half's being turned by a ball over the top too.

Isn't that just a badly focussed picture or is it only me that's seeing double lines all over.

 

Would a fit Watmore or McNair get in ? Paddy could be a dark horse for centre back.

 

God knows what the team will/should be by the time they get back. We'll have had a better look by then at least.

 

Good call I know it's not his preferred position (likes reverse cowgirl) but if he's competent there at Championship level that's a step up from what we've got. We've also got plenty of players for CM where he would want to play.
