Spurs is the future of English footy for the next decade

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by Hoddle is a god, Jun 11, 2017.

  1. In the 90s an 00s, it was United, with a sprinkling of 'Pool.

    We won absolutely **** all.

Now, there is a new breed of player, one with the hunger to win, and sublime skills to match.

Enter onto the National stage Harry Kane, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker, and Dele Alli. This will be the spine of the National side for at least the next decade, I reckon.

The more astute amongst you will have clocked that these players are all part of the mighty Spurs squad, which has completed a North London Power-Shift, and consolidated Poch's boys among the elite of the English game.

Welcome to the future of the National game, lads!

Please, use this thread to praise Spurs and its massive contribution to making this country great, again, and to discussing International games and competitions.

As usual with my threads, let's keep wumming to a bare minimum, eh? Thanks, lads.

    Eric Dier (central midfielder) 4
Very poor. Booked, wasteful in possession and ineffective.

Lallana has been England's stand out player recently.

Southgate should build a team around him.

  6. I'm sensing some early-doors resistance to my OP.

Remember, lads, that one must not be too hasty to judge this team on the basis of only one game, especially against Scotland and at the end of a hard season, when most players are already in holiday-mode. The truer tests will come soon enough, and I fully expect you lads to be a little more contrite.

    Best of a bad bunch.

Definitely England's stand out player recently. I doubt anyone can argue that point?

Kane and Alli are the only decent Spurs players in the team mate.

    Walkers probably leaving.
    Dier is pants.

England are clearly missing Hendo's presence in midfield.

    Phil McNulty? Typical delusional Scouser.

Southgate set the team up wrong, though. Dier and Livermore is not a balanced central midfield pairing.

  11. tbh, Sky, when Southgate has managed to set the team up right (he needs to have a look at how Poch sets up his Spurs team), we won't need Hendo. In fact, all we'll really need is more Spurs players, mate.

The word "balanced" is totally superfluous

    International football...ugh

Could have told you before the game that it would be a draw.
Simply because, Scotland are ****, England are slightly less ****, but Scotland are at home and have the whole "Och, ye bin oppressin' uhs, for centuries mahn! Time fer eh lettle paybarck ken!".

  20. Ah. Skiddy's many memes of defeat!

When the brain refuses to function, find a meme. That's your motto, Skids!

These are like a mental comfort-blanket for Skiddy.
