Belle Vue will take a 14-point lead to Swindon for the second leg of their Elite League play-off semi-final next Monday.
The Aces impressed on home soil to record a 50-36 win in the Manchester opener, with the meeting curtailed one race short due to heavy rain.
Andreas Jonsson proved a wise choice of guest with 11 points whilst Josh Grajczonek added 9+1. Swindon captain Troy Batchelor scored 8 with the Robins suffering a nightmare start to the match as all three of their heat-leaders crashed in their opening rides

Coventry are sweating on the fitness of skipper Chris Harris in the build-up to the first leg of their play-off clash with Poole on Friday.
Harris suffered elbow, wrist and ankle injuries in a crash in Poland on Sunday and has returned to the UK to seek specialist advice

Belle Vue mounted a dramatic late comeback to draw the first leg of the Elite League Grand Final 46-46 with Poole in the last-ever meeting at Kirkmanshulme Lane.
The Pirates dominated the first half of the meeting to go into a 13-point lead with reserves Paul Starke and Kyle Newman in outstanding form. The visitors still led by ten points with three heats to go but the Aces finished with two 5-1s and a 4-2 to leave the Final all-square ahead of Wednesday’s second leg at Wimborne Road.
Matej Zagar, who scored 14+1, and Craig Cook (12) both produced spectacular passing moves to claw their side back into contention whilst Chris Holder top-scored for the Pirates on 10+1 with both reserves scoring 9+2.

Swindon owner Terry Russell has firmly dismissed speculation of a possible move to Oxford for the Robins next season. The club stage the final meeting at the existing Abbey Stadium on October 11 before work begins on their new stadium ahead of the 2016 campaign.
Russell said: “I have absolutely no idea where these rumours have come from – if anyone should have started them then it should have been me, but there is nothing in it. “Swindon Robins will be moving into the new stadium at some point early in the 2016 season. From the moment work begins on the new site it is a five-month build, possibly a month longer depending on circumstances.”

Poole manager Neil Middleditch dedicated the club’s third successive Elite League title to seriously-injured club asset Darcy Ward.
The Pirates overcame Belle Vue over two legs in a terrific Grand Final by a narrow two-point aggregate margin.
As in the first leg, the Aces were left to rue a slow start as Poole raced into a 14-4 lead at Wimborne Road, but they were then pegged back and had to wait until the penultimate race to clinch the title.
Kacper Gomolski produced the crucial winning ride in Heat 14, holding off Josh Grajczonek after team-mate Dakota North had fallen, whilst the Aces brought the score back to 46-44 on the night with a 5-1 in the last race.
Captain Maciej Janowski won three races on his way to an 11-point score for the Pirates, whilst Craig Cook (13) was outstanding for the Aces and skipper Scott Nicholls added 10+3.
