    You are absolutely right. You cannot be a Saints fan unless you have a "stomach for disappointment" because that is all you are going to get. Can't say anymore now lads as I have used up my five minute daily allocation of time on football threads. It is all part of my programme to wean myself off football. You'll all no doubt be pleased to know that next week it will be down to three minutes.

    So that's 11. Not 12. Your friend may be "truthful" (though we'll come to that) but he can't count.

    Boruc - played in 5 friendly internationals in 2 years since he left (not sold, released on a free) - WORLD CLASS!
    Luke Shaw - 3 competitive, 1 friendly in three years - WORLD CLASS!
    Dejan Lovren - 1 competitive, 2 friendly appearances in three years - WORLD CLASS!
    Calum Chambers - 2 competitive, 1 friendly international appearance since he left us - WORLD CLASS!
    Nathan Clyne - yes, I'll genuinely take him as world class.

    That's just the defence. It's taking me too long, so that'll do for now.

    So, I'm afraid our board hasn't "allowed 12 world class players to leave". That's bunkum written by someone who doesn't understand that "world class" doesn't just mean "now plays for a bigger team". You know, the way all of them do. Teams like Bournemouth. Or Middlesbrough. Or Cardiff.

    Apologies that this is dripping so liberally with sarcasm but the original "fact" deserves it. I just wish people would engage their brains before making daft comments.
