I can just about remember Gardos being excellent in the few games he played for us. I can recall thinking it was very harsh on him to be dropped for Toby. Whether he still 'has it' though, who knows; its taken Jay a long time to get back to anything like his old form.
That is the concern, but the board have shown that they're willing to take that risk (with Jay) rather than spend. Or perhaps they've learned that risk isn't worth taking. Next few days is going to be pretty telling. I think we need to sign.
I recorded the match on Sky yesterday. Just started watching it and can someone tell me why they get Graeme Souness in to commentate? He doesn't know what he is talking about and clearly never researches teams before he gives his opinion. Couldn't understand why we had sold Fonte and had VVD sold off after the semi final game. Said no one saw Leicester doing so badly when I think a fair few people expected it. I wonder if they would pay me to replace him?
I did a lot of my underage drinking in The Cowherds - a long, long time ago. Actually got served in there in school uniform one lunchtime. The 70's were more innocent times. Today's schoolkids are probably smoking crack on the common.
Me too - it was (almost) our local - went to Tauntons. I can't believe how going in with your school uniform on and asking for a pint of Starlight and 10 number 6 didn't get you even a strange look ..........
I see Prowsey made Crooks team of the week, which was nice. Though calling him the next Morgan might be taking it a bit far
I thought it was tough on Gardos to sign him and then take Toby on loan almost immediately. He may very well have signed anyway, but it almost seemed like he'd been signed under false pretences. He did look good initially....has been unbelievably unlucky with injuries.
To compound this, MOTD quoted David Pleat as saying he was the next Beckham. Will he sign for Liverpool before Wednesday?
See from the Matchday Uncovered that we've had the decorators in to eradicate Fonte....proof positive that Virgil isn't going this window (as if we needed proof). Otherwise his photo would be at the end...just like you move the very sick near the ward door.
I reckon if this game was scheduled for tonight like originally planned it would be postponed. The fog is awful already.
If anyone is thinking of reading Danny Murphy's column on the BBC website about Leicesters tactics... don't! It's the worst written piece of 'journalism' I think I've ever seen... how do these people get jobs?!
