I think you've said pretty much everything I would have said and well done for the Maya comment. He was pretty faultless. Top bloke.
I will say my vitriol at HT was almost entirely directed at the Italians for cheating and the Ref for losing control. I was mad that they'd got away with it and might win.
Only thing we did wrong was let Dusan take the penalty, should have been JWP, Dusan may take a good pen in training but has never taken a good one during a game.
We need to get SRL onto the coaching team.

When 28,000 people are shouting wa*ker it's amazing how well sound carries.

But yes, less volume more clarity from the sound system last night. Now if we can just lurch into the 21st century and sort out free wi-fi . . . . .

They've certainly turned it up a notch.
If you closed your eyes it felt like being in a nightclub. Was Pete Tong working on the PA last night? They were banging out dance tracks

I'm finally back home now. Good to meet some of you reprobates yesterday. The footy was alright as well, I guess.

Didn't get to see the match unfortunately, as the Europa League is inconveniently played mid-afternoon here. Still, good to see that we didn't get complacent and managed to see off the smaller Inter side.

I was just a bit surprised. I'm 6ft 3 so it's unusual for me to have to crane my neck to look up to people.

Great to meet you; if I get to a game up in your end of the world I'll give you a shout.

    Cheers,

    Vin

SOUTHAMPTON’S Europa League stars have been hailed as “beasts” by beaten Inter Milan.

Claude Puel’s side fought back to beat the Serie A giants 2-1 to go within one win of the knockout stages.

And Brazil midfielder Felipe Melo said: “Playing in England against Southampton was not easy. They are beasts in terms of physicality.”

Ahead of tomorrow’s visit to Hull, Saints’ Dusan Tadic said the victory was a boost in confidence after last weekend’s home defeat to Chelsea.

“This shows we can beat good teams,” he said.

I think you'll find he meant it in a positive sense. Unless he didn't. ;)

Came on here to mention about Puel. Currently watching the 90 minutes and the camera has shown a full profile of Claude. My first impression was that he almost has to wear clown shoes. Big feet.!

From what I've seen in training videos, Puel is a beast....doesn't seem afraid of putting our players in hospital. :)

Just discussed game on Soccer Saturday, Jeff Stelling remarked that Inter played their rugby 15. Matt said they were a disgrace and it would have been a disgrace if they had won. Went on to talk about how good Virgil is....didn't take long for Merson to mention that a big side will be after him....suggesting 30 mill as the price...OK, which leg do you want?

There was a corner in the first half that four players all jumped up to challenge for. Three of the players end up on the deck holding their heads, legs etc and screaming for the mothers (probably). The fourth player just gingerly jogs away. It's big Virge. Made me chuckle.
