So its a fairly interesting day in terms of news, so far today its been unveiled: -we are NOT after Le Fondre -Moots will not be returning to CAFC -Semedo has been speaking to other clubs -Jenkinson's move to Arsenal is not 100% complete -Dailly is close to signing another deal Some good some bad, all pretty interesting and I'm looking forward to the rest of this summer.
-we are NOT after Le Fondre ...... UNSURE - not sure how I feel really -Moots will not be returning to CAFC ..... GOOD -Semedo has been speaking to other clubs ... well that is to be expected I guess -Jenkinson's move to Arsenal is not 100% complete ... YET -Dailly is close to signing another deal .... GOOD as long as he's only coaching, BAD if he'll be playing
Agree with DVDDD. Not too upset about Le Fondre, he wouldn't have come anyway. Good news about Moo2. Sad about Semedo but is expected I guess (if he does go, I want it to be to a good Championsip team, not some rubbish team in Greece). About Jenkinson, it doesn't really mean much. With any luck, Arsenal have found a wonderkid right-back and no longer want Jenkinson and we can sign him back and all will be forgiven.
And, as I'm none too reliably informed (sorry, mate) we won't be getting Danny Green - apparently the bidding has reached the stratosphere and is likely to end up as the highest fee ever paid for a League Two player.
No surprises, I agree that cb is still the priority, we need at least 2, that's a big at least. Jenkinson could be a decent player, but I don't really want to try and forgive him as I don't know he deserves it

It didn't sound like Semedo is actually *in talks over a move* more that he'd been speaking to other clubs which could quite simply mean they've been phoning him and he's been answering If that's the case with Danny Green then I wonder how much he's going for. As for Jenkinson, no chance that I'd welcome him back, but his move to Arsenal seems pretty imminent. Any rumours flying about?
i must say Dick, you are doing some wonderful work today! This latest batch of pictures had me laughing out loud! I assume Mike sent you over the pic of The Big Spaniard in the boot of his Cortina?
About Green, the rumour is that there's a bidding war going on between two Premiership clubs, one of which is Norwich, don't know the other - the final fee is likely to be in the region of £1.2 million. Our bid was £300k, which I have to say was about what I thought he was worth. It's an indication of the distorting effect of Murdoch's money on football that the final fee is likely to be three times as much.
That would be a mad sum! I would have gone at £300k also, but £1.2m is clutching, he's at a similar level to Matt Phillips who signed for Blackpool from Wycombe for £500k I believe?
Danny Green is a good footballer but his price does seem a little inflated. However, when you think about it footballers are just that same as any other commodity that can be brought and sold... worth what someone's willing to pay.
