Just trying to be realistic mate. Attempting to remove all bias I'd say we'd realistically be third behind Palace and Boro in terms of attractiveness. Palace for the obvious with them being in the PL and I reckon Boro will try and go straight back up so will splash some cash about. Leeds, god only knows what their new owner could be like, if he's only half as mad as Cellino you'd almost be mad to go there and Hull's ownership situation is pretty awful too.
Got to have a bit of humour to keep sane, no doubt about that, but in all honesty you are spelling out the truth and it highlights just how far we have fallen recently. We are no longer an attractive proposition, but things can soon change, lets hope so.
Like Pardew was ever in the running, what a deluded self righteous twonk Last time Short spoke to Pardew he was heckling him from the directors box, did he just forget that happened?
Listening to the Glamorgan v Durham cricket on radio Newcastle and Martin Emerson said Pardew has ruled himself out - don't worry the radio Newcastle and Wales cricket commentators have all ruled themselves out now as well
Word creeping out on Twitter it's all sorted and we're going with Clough for manager with Super Kev as his number two. :/
Im thinking Clough. Born here. Dad a legend. It may seem weak. But yes im liking it. Be fantastic if it works.
So this is the relatively inexperienced Clough who has never managed a team in the Premiership.....oh hang in a minute I'd give him a go and if he bring SKP with him all the better. We just need it sorted asap so whoever it is can sort out whose staying and whose going player wise, and its probably also time to change the coaching staff as well.
Having thought about this for a bit, its typical Sunderland that a manager named Clough should have been taken on 50 years or so ago, talk about missing the boat. If he does come hope he's half as good as his dad or would the weight of expectation which would obviously be heaped on him be too much to bear.
Both Clough and Philips would have the crowd onside certainly, but this dressing room needs a bit of steel to sort it out. Pearson- Philips- Way still gets my vote sounds good too - too good to be true.
