But Suarez could have had the same or even better season with Dalglish, Rodgers didn't give him his skills

Could have but it's one of those what ifs. We do know Kenny had him for a season and a half (well maybe a season if you include the games he was banned for biting) and he was no where near the level Brod got him to...

Of course you forget that it was Dalglish who signed Suarez in the first place :bandit:

Yeah I would take that season any day. Rodgers is not a bad coach but things went south and very many people chose the new revised version of what they think about him. He was very young when he got tbe job and he did well with that squad.

I am glad he is doing extremely well in Scotland and a maybe those trophies he will win and the experience at liverpool will make him a worldie.

    He does talk bull though

And it was Rodgers who signed Cout and Sturridge and put Gerrard in the pirlo role to allow Suarez to shine.

I would have kept him. His sacking was premature. He was criticised for a lot of his signings who didn't immediately gel, but they turned out to be key players in the following years.

I'd swap the Suarez season with one with us winning the title.

It was insane to sack Dalglish after one summer of signings and after getting us to two finals. he deserved one season more. But he was sacked over the Suarez/Evra farrago, let's be honest. FSG were just total pussies who first backed Dalglish over the t-shirt thing, then wet themselves when the media turned on them and threatened to make their brand toxic. I think even Hicks and Gillett would have had more backbone.

We've had at least 18 that were better. So it's not even in the top 10%.

The more I look back at the signings of Suarez/Carroll, the more I wonder whether our owners would've actually entrusted that amount of money to a caretaker manager. Seems unlikely, doesn't it?

Lol i should say from an entertainment point of view. I did mention were it not for slippy it would have been the best one ever.

From the perspective of someone like ibwt whos a young un that would have been one of his best seasons

That was all about Suarez. Rodgers blew it with his **** tactics v the chavs. All we needed was a ****ing draw.

It was all about Suarez, but it was Rodgers who put and built the team round suarez.

At the time King Kenny was building it around Downing crossing to carroll. Suarez was never as productive as under rodgers.

Rodgers only needed a draw which is true, but he can't exactly legislate for slippy going over!
