A footballing fraud maybe, but an important and iconic journalist too in my opinion.

He has upset a minority today that everyone knows you must never say a bad word about - the people of Liverpool.

The Left Wing / Social Media Professional Grievance PLC is now after its pound of flesh.

    Tony Blair proposed Sir Kelvin
MacKenzie for a knighthood when he was PM.

Kelvin declined - saying he couldn't accept a gong off a Tory.

The right wing Sun suspends him.

    It must be bad.

The world has truly gone mad. All he did was to be rude about a premier league footballer. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

My view...... if you had swapped the name MacKenzie into the article rather than Barkley then you would have a far more believable story <ok>

MacKenzie enraged the people of Liverpool with his scandalous Hillsborough stories and so Scousers are always going to be sensitive about anything he writes..... and justifiably so! It's not about being left or right, they just hate him.

You are correct, but Royston just loves to have a pop at "The Left" Any old excuse will do. I admit I haven't read the article, just the "gorilla in a zoo" quote, but I just think that when you look at the state of the world, especially Drumpf squaring up to everyone like John L. Sullivan (I can lick any man in this bar) a sense of proportion is required.

Me think you protest too much <cheers>

This site contains more rabid Lefties than a Momentum rally - I am just here to add a sense of balance.

The term 'offence' has become meaningless.

I dont think many of us look at it as "left and right". You are the one that needs labels.

What's Katie Hopkins tricking you in to believing today?

Surely The Sun's editorial team would have reviewed the article before it went to print, and deemed it as potentially inflammatory - especially when the guy's history with the Scouse Nation is taken into account.
The Sun has dropped a massive bollock on this occasion.

Massively. Several people would have read that article before it was published.

    Another pay out it is.

MacKenzie is an easy target for those frustrated by the death of the Left.

They are finished in England, and across Europe the Left is in full on retreat - beaten in Spain and Italy and not even on the pitch in France. The socialist party in Holland polled only 7% in their recent election. The Left in America has lost the White House, the Congress and the Senate.

In the U.K. Trade unionism is hugely to blame for this IMO - beer and sandwiches & jobs for the Brothers has had its day and won't ever return. There is no place for Leftist collectivism in the post Brexit age.

I've read it now. It doesn't alter my opinion that McFrenzy is a very intelligent man who thinks he can take people for fools (which he often can).

I'm offended on behalf of gorillas. They are gentle, noble creatures, whose existence is threatened by man's selfishness.

I am offended on behalf of Sun readers ..... they are gentle, noble creatures whose existence is threatened by the Sun Owner's/Editor's stupidity <ok>

Could the Sun end up like News of The World?

Roland is going for the double relegation,Charlton and Alcorcon. Looks like he'll miss out with Charlton, butAlcorcon sit 3rd bottom with 4 teams going down.

It was only a year or so ago that they were looking decent enough. RD couldn't just let things lie there either by the looks of it.
