@baraettmattesvensson Seeing your comment "I bet on the hare once, it lost" on the betting thread on CL made me laugh. About 30 years ago my regular betting shop was Ladbrokes at the end of Spray St in Woolwich. Not sure if it is still there now. There was one regular punter and wag in there who, without exception, at the start of every greyhound race when the bell rang shouted "The hare has won it" It always got a laugh from someone, even if you were doing your money.
Great to see an impressive opening 15 min for Holmes-Dennis tonight v Man City. Thank god we got 2 quality full backs in to replace him in Johnnie Jackson and Byrne.
He got lucky a minute ago though! What's going on withArchie Edwards guys? I know I probably ask every other month, but surely he's nearing first team football?
What a desperate state of affairs at Leyton Orient. There is every chance the famous old London club could go out of existence on 20 March, when they face a winding up petition. Their fans are urging their negligent lunatic foreign owner (sounds familiar) to place the club in Administration this week- the 12 point deduction would all but guarantee relegation out of the Football League, but would safeguard its immediate future. The owner is having none of it, and is demanding a fictional buyer steps in and meets his £4m asking price, or else. This story once again proves that the useless FL are just not fit for purpose. Red hot when a fatty eats a pie to win a £160 bet, but as limp as a eunuch's stalky when London's SECOND OLDEST football club is driven to extinction by a foreign lunatic. Shame on them.
The owner appears to be motivated largely by spite towards the Orient fans, this has been clear to everyone except the FL He will be happy to see Orient go to the wall, because that means he's beaten them. Football's all about the Premier League, the Champions League, and the army of armchair fans. Cloughie was right when he said telly would kill football.
KR had Rio Ferdinand in this week. SLP report he sat down specifically with Konsa and the U-18's. Happy with that to be fair - rate Ferdinand very, very highly. Winning mentality also.
Far superior defender to Terry, who the media have always gushed over for some unknown reason. Average defender, awful human. I'm not sure what it says about KR that he keeps bringing in these quality ex pros.
Agree about Rio being the superior. I've been doing a project for Mr JT and a couple others who have clubbed together to start a business venture and have to say he is very different than I imagined. Shameless name drop.
