Unless they get the ground in the deal its a non starter, Roland will always have Charlton by the B***s if he keeps hold of the valley, & hes vindictive enough to make us suffer more.
I must admit my enthusiasm for the Aussie deal went into a tail spin when the issues regarding the ground surfaced. Fingers crossed their madness has passed but Charlton should know better than anyone you should never seperate club and ground into different owners.
What has Phil Thomson got to do with it? BTW I have just visited Kisimul Castle in the island of Barra. You have to go by boat from Castlebay, and at high tide it is partially submerged. It is owned by the chief of the McLeod clan, who lovingly restored it in recent years. Earlier McLeod chiefs were total bastards, who forcibly ejected the crofters to make way for sheep during the Highland clearances. In some cases they were forced at gunpoint on to ships headed for Canada, with no provision made at the other end.
Charlton's new away kit revealed today... http://www.kentlive.news/revealed-c...ver-athletic/story-30445856-detail/story.html It's a mid blue/dark blue combination. Looks reasonable enough I guess. I didn't like the purple away kit, or that awful sunset one (was that a third kit?). Black is OK I suppose but lots of teams have black away kits. My favourite away kit from recent years was the white shirt & red or black shorts. A bit like Stevenage home colours when they wore plain white shirts for a while.
Colour scheme is nice - collar looks a bit funny. Wonder what the delay in revealing the home shirt is. Should be a straight forward practice.
Dom Dwyer scores for the MLS all stars against Madrid - he was on trial with us the January that RD took over if memory serves. Carved a decent career for himself in the US.
