We should have walked the league to be honest. Teams who got points from us like Blackburn (6), Forest (3), Birmingham, Ipswich (3), Wolves (3), Villa. We came close to blowing it on a few occasions and there were times when Rafa didn't seem to know how to get the best out of his team at all but then for most of the 'big' fixtures we were fine.

It's right to question him, anyone who ever wanted him out though (and it will be a miniscule amount) needs their head examined. We're not getting anyone better than Rafa any time soon.

Did anyone want him out? I was one of his staunchest critics from the very start. Yet I recognised it would be a bad idea to get rid. Its like the old line the mackems like to trot out about a very small minority who want rid of Bobby Robson. In their tiny minds it has become the majority of our fans over the years. I was at the game in question and I can't recall any Robson out chants. Artistic licence eh, the cornerstone of the creative desperados.
