I see the Uefa mandarins have again ignored their own analysis that interest in CL went in the toilet once they did this first exclusive deal and they have done the same again.

The result is the CL becomes yet another stream or not to stream thing and if home country Tv is not showing a game I expect most will not bother or watch a real game like barca tonight.

Other than the final, I haven't watched a CL game since it went to BT.

    no sadly.

I think its a bad move for uefa and most here will stream rather than pay.

the Bt app is so bad my mate dropped bt now and is just streaming. Why pay sports when you can get broadband just and work away

I did the same. As a BT customer I initially got their basic (PL) package for free, but the bastards snuck a charge in for that in the small print. I complained about the quality (it stinks) and all I got was the usual "clear your cache, refresh this and that, change your browser/platform/colour socks ****e from them.
Even though other streams don't suffer from the same thing they just won't have it that their product is ****ing useless and they keep on charging for it.

I just use my mates BT account. :)

But I don't blame him for cancelling. If I was paying for it I'd cancel. It's diabolical. Often cuts out. Often needs refreshing. Often 1 to 3 mins behind.

One good thing about the App is the enhanced player where you can playback goals and shots etc. Doesn't seem to be available when streaming on the laptop.

you get terrible buffering issues too?

With us it was zero bloody buffer and it'd just run short. I tried it on alp top with 20gb or RAM and still it'd skip etc.

I just dumped it anyway.. its not worth the hassle. Even put it on lowest poss settings and it still often did it.

Sky, never an issue..... but that junk... F that.

Cheap way to get it is via your phone if you are with EE.

I got 6 months free then its just a fiver a month.

Made sure i got a samsung tv that screen mirrors when i last upgraded my telly.

Runs fine on phone thru my broadband and scaled up on tv its not as sharp as sky hd but its better than bt showcase

I got free acces to app via my phone on EE <ok>
Stopped it now the 6 months is over though as don't use t enough and quality on phone was iffy. As others have said constant buffering then would throw me back a couple of minutes. Was handy for some of Liverpool games and maybe if we get into CL I'll start it again just to see our games

I've got sky fibre broadband and the BT app on the phone runs fine, it doesn't buffer Prob would be iffy with copper broadband TBF..

It's much better than steaming so for a fiver a month i'd recommend it (assuming fast broadband and a compatible Telly)

I've got BT fibre and their app is dreadful. I've had promotional Sky offers and theirs works fine and if I get a decent foreign stream that also works well.
