Got taught a bit of a football lesson. A very poor display and one best forgotten. We should still fall over the line.
What did you predict for this one? Maybe a win, possibly a loss and probably a draw. Don't give me any of your horse racing tips again.
I predicted a comfortable 2-0 victory. About as reliable as my Grand National tips. I say tips loosely as all the General asked is what people were backing, I don't think I encouraged anyone to bet on them. I can't believe I'm being held to account for putting up 4 punts on the most unpredictable horse race in the racing calendar. 40 horses all hurtling at 40mph towards some of stiffest fences in England and I'm the **** You do realise Nev still hasn't done an update? That's a proper ****.
I would never dream of updating Musty's prediction league. That's because I'm a gentleman though. Speaking of proper ****s. I used my £40 bonus bet on bet365 to bet on Man Utd beating Sunderland to recover some of my losses. I won £56. Then the ****s told me that the T&C's of the bonus are that I have to place £240 of bets to withdraw my winnings - though I'm allowed to count any part of my winnings that I re-bet towards that. Bastards!!!. I'm up to £77.50 bet so far with £60 still in the pot, with a £10 bet on Arsenal tonight still outstanding. Any bets on odds shorter than 1/2 don't count. Somehow I have to keep placing small bets with my winnings, and keep winning, to see any of my ****ing money!!!
You are in luck dear fellow. I have a tip for Redcar today. Heir to the Throne at Redcar 4.20 15/2 A good each way bet...
Anyone watch the finale of the Masters last night? Gripping stuff, Garcia and Rose battling it out, it was a shame someone had to lose.
It was brilliant. Felt sorry either had to lose, but pleased that Garcia now has a major under his belt.
Absolutely, delighted for him, it clearly meant so much to him. Both players are a credit to the game.
The only downside for me was that as per my post above, I'd stuck a few quid on Rose to win when he was 2 shots up
Fantastic sporting television. Have to say I was really pleased for Sergio. I thought my pick Fowler had a chance going in, and I thought Speith was lurking like a predatory shark. Both just imploded. The ace from Kuch was a quality moment too.
I thought he was gonna win, especially when he was two shots in front. Credit to Garcia, he didn't crumble under pressure and the eagle he got was the turning point. I believe that was his first eagle in 450 or so holes at the Masters. What a time to get one!
After his put to win on the 18th (in normal play) I was pleased he got the win. He's been a credit to European golf and it wouldn't have been fair for him to have had two of those puts to win majors hanging over his head.
It was like the hole just sucked the ball in, great viewing. The sportsmanship between both players was there for all to see.
Absolutely, I used to love playing and watching but sort of got bored with the game years ago. These two last night relit my interest in the game.
I've never played the game but I enjoy watching the majors and Ryder Cup. My ex father in law tried teaching me. We went to a par 3 course where the only hole without a water hazard was the first hole. Off the first tee I put my ball in the water. We stopped half way round as he was running out of golf balls
