It can't get any worse, can it? I'm regretting suggesting putting links to live streams up. The less people who see this, the better.

FFS we have nothing to fuken lose and everything to gain , just bring on the fuken subs and lets fuken at least lose with some dignity because at the moment were going down without a fuken wimper

Come one now, you should know as well as anyone, don't write off United.

A god awful first half it might have been, but i still felt that the formation change and introduction of Giggs would be enough. I only celebrated when the third goal went in! My prediction of coming out and scoring 5 was wide of the mark though :)

Should have known better but we haven't had to come back too often so I didn't know what to expect. The formation change was definitely crucial and Giggs too. Tbh, there is no point in playing 4-5-1 if the personnel don't suit. Fletcher, Scholes and Gibson don't have the mobility to play in a 3. In fact, Anderoson is the only guy who has much mobility at all in our CMs. Rooney on the left is always disastrous.

It looked like 4-5-1 to me too but the commentators were saying 4-3-3.

Gibson definitely has my sympathy. A shoddy performance in a weird formation won't do his confidence any good at all. The lad just needs more games but his form hardly justifies it. Anderson is definitely the most versatile midfielder although much like Rooney I don't like seeing Anderson shunted on the left either (not that he was but he has been in the past once or twice).

At least Ferguson made the changes and got it right in the second half and didn't wait too long before making changes. Still, it makes you wonder why he faffed about with the team and formation in the first place...

Maybe he thought he could get away with experimenting a bit at Blackpool? They give us a bit of a shock really, but it made for a great contest

Maybe so. I just hope the lesson is learned! I mean, 10 changes for the West Ham league cup game backfired, as it did against Leeds last year, and against Fenerbahce in 05. I can't remember many occasions when it has worked well but that is the nature of a selective memory I guess.

    ..........................

It should not ahve been a shock at all. They have been playing like this for most of the season. As far as I am concerned, Anderson should start every game from now until the season is over.

Scholes shud be on the bench as an impact sub. And Rooney could make a relly significant contribution to the team if he was to knobble Gibson in training.

Now now, I know Rooney is a bit randy but do you really think he'd "knobble" Gibson? Obviously, the trauma of such an act would likely render Gibson incapacitated for some time but it just seems a bit extreme!

    merry,

I think extreme measures are necessary, as SAF seems intent on giving Gibson game time, despite all the evidence in front of him that suggests that Gibson is pants.

You were on 606 a couple of years, were you not? You had any other aliases since then?

I am still on 606 now, but as youycorrectly summise, under a different name.

Quite liked the old one, so thought I would give it new life.
