Just had An e mail through from Saints saying they only have 300 season tickets left. Anyone know how many they have actually sold? Cannot ever remember this happening before...can anyone else?
Beddy, I know you wouldn't expect to find it there, but if you dive into the Premier League thread, they are discussing it in that thread. Be quick though, or TSS will have the roof off and new seats going in for the upgrade
Would be a bit unfair if they didn't though. I'm only in the country for 3/4 home games every season.
They need to keep a number of seats for the "casual attendees". That's not meant detrimental at all, but we have a lot of fans who can't attend every game, so they need to be kept onside by having tickets available. There are probably tens of thousands of those. You also need to keep tickets for future fans. Son/daughter turns 5 or 6 and wants Dad/Mum to take them to their first Saints game. You need tickets for these people too. We keep that number of season tickets up and the ground in the high 90s% full (home fans) and the club need to think about the capacity.
Also - if they are confident of selling all (or most) available tickets for each gam, then one-off tickets are more expensive than season tickets are per match....so the club will get a bit more money from doing it that way
So you would be happy for the likes of me, who goes to 8-10 home games a season, not to see even one game because I can't afford a season ticket? Thanks. Thanks a lot.
Well now you mention that bit..... I could at least then freely criticise the referee without recrimination.
Very unusually, I can add something from an ITK position. This thread illustrates the difference between Saints and teams some fans now see as equals. There are nearly 10,000 applicants on a waiting list for Liverpool. We have a long way to go to create that kind of demand. Of course, when it comes to quality of fans, Saints are number one!
This photo, taken last night in Time Square NY, gives you an idea of the reach of the top 4 and how far we have to go.
