I'd usually predict Derby to win this, especially at home. However, we've both been in poor form recently, and let's face it, Derby will probably take this one easy knowing they have a play-off place wrapped up. We've got nothing to play for either. 0-0.
I don't see it being 0-0 Nuggets, I think Mick will stick with a similar approach to MK and give the players the chance to enjoy themselves and play a more pleasing brand of footy. Nothing game for Derby they can rotate, they have a poor home record vs us and I fancy either a 1-1 / 2-2 entertaining draw.
****ing Mccarfy is a clown, Chambers in for Emanuel, who is not even on the bench but released Varney is!! Work that one out!!
Hope McDonnell has a good game, pleased to see him given a go, even if it is a little too late! Would have liked him to have been given a go earlier, rather than Douglas and Hyam
Didn't realise we were kicking off early, just got to work. Come on Ipswich, we'll finish 7th if results stay as they are.
Well done Ipswich. I have to say, finishing 7th is no embarrassment. Sure, we didn't end up in the play offs, but with the injuries we've had this season I'm proud that we managed to stay with the pack and finish above a few teams who have spent much more than us trying to get promoted.
Yep, after all the disappointment and bitching, 7th is very respectable considering everything. Well done Mick and the lads. Now some investment please!
I'd still consider it progress too. We spent all season in the top half and finished one place lower than last year. Might not sound like progress but it was another solid season competing at the top end and that's how teams generally get promoted. Cardiff spent a few seasons doing what we're doing before it finally fell into place for them.
Had we something to play for, the likes of Kenlock would never of had a look in! Mick will revert back to boring **** again next season.
I went, enjoyed a good day out. Game was an average affair, whole team performed far better than recent games ive seen but lots of room for improvement. As there always is. Not sure Derby were really on it but on balance I think 1-0 was fair.
I do think it's progress Weighty. You can't seriously expect that your team will finish at least one place higher every season after coming 6th last year. There are 23 other clubs in the league also trying to do the same thing. We weren't quite good enough to come top six and injuries didn't help our cause one bit but I still feel we did really well to finish 7th. Every season is different but if you can keep your club in and around the play offs regardless of what's thrown at you then you've done well.
