I think the "Doh's" should be reserved for those fortunate enough and rich enough to be able to attend matches thinking that makes them better than those of us less fortunate paupers!
Read what I said! I did not mention you because you stopped short of saying it! The one who DID say it was DUNCAN NUTS
The problem there is, I can't really afford £73 for a shirt, I got caught up in an auction fever type of situation and I've regretted ever since, especially as it gave the trolls another stick to beat me with!
Nobody should buy shirts at that price, it's just a rip off plain and simple. I only buy mine every other year, it's always yellow with bits of green on it anyway. I don't have a name or number or extra badges, as you can still see people with Wolfswinkle and the like on theirs.
I saved over £1,000 on my season ticket for 4 years, as before McNally (remember him??) took over, the price for 'senior tickets' started at age 60 and I was able to buy 4 years at just over £800, whereas it would have cost me nearly £2,000 for the same 4 years, so I think I'll give a little bit back and buy a shirt each year, but like you, don't go for names or badges any more.
It's done Dave. You have a nice shirt and money's as fluid as it ever was. I once spent £12 on a Coldplay CD, I bet you get more pleasure from your purchase!
I think the context of the joke was you stating that anyone that criticised that awful 2 tone strip from last season and didn't just shut up and buy it was not a loyal fan if I remember rightly? So Ironically when I L D says something similar in regards to attending games I find it amusing that you play the well "some of us can't afford it " card . I would personally rather spend the £73 on 2 match tickets than buy another yellow man made fibre T SHIRT .
