The 3rd 2012 f1 car to launch. and another possible title contender! After seeing the new mclaren that looked a bit conservative but an evolution of the 2011 car and by far a more beautiful car than the ugly looking caterham. Which direction will Ferrari go? We have already seen leaked drawings of the car but are they legit? Will Ferrari have the stepped nose? anything innovative? Ps- anybody know the launch time and website?
I think the launch is going ahead - they're just not making it a public affair because Maranello's buried under three feet of snow. They're releasing the pictures and interviews and whatnot on the Internet.
They probably won't go with the stepped nose given they were testing out that flexi wing at the end of last year and that didn't involve it... but the rumours are it'll be ugly.
I think they will have the ugly nose, and the car will look similar to Piola's sketch but with a couple of exceptions, like a push-rod front suspension, a more compact rear and all the other little modifications they tested near the end of the season (like this for example). The sidepod area will be most interesting - they might have this but McLaren were also rumoured to have that. EDIT: Also floor w/ zircotec Link for launch: http://events.ferrari.com/singleseater2012
I wondered what that wing thing was. It looks like quite a good idea, but surely there are more drawbacks than having the sidepods further back and having to fill it? Also, couldn't it disrupt air flow to the rear wing, or even improve it? Surely it could push more air onto the scoop part of the rear wing?
Ferrari have changed thier wheel supplier from BBS to OZ http://www.tyrepress.com/News/MOTORSPORT/49/24441.html
wish he'd stop the sponsor groveling. Show us the car and get the drivers out talking, too eurovision so far

Force India have gone the same way too, looks aweful. This years season is going to have to be post watershed at this rate
The nose is hideous, worse than the Caterham but there is only so much you can do with these regulations. Peter Sauber said the stepped nose was the best for aero so in that in sense Ferrari have made the right decision. But still, what an ugly car.
My eyes ! Not pretty. But lets hope it is fast. Looks like Mclaren is going to be the only car you can look at this year without your eyes melting.
