I might actually make the effort to watch this. Always enjoy beating Scotland, and is infinitely more fun beating them in their own back yard
Scotland XI: Gordon, Tierney,Berra, Mulgrew, Robertson, Brown, Morrison, Forrest, Armstrong, Snodgrass, Griffiths. England XI: Hart, Walker, Cahill, Smalling, Bertrand, Livermore, Dier, Lallana, Alli, Rashford, Kane. I don't know why Livermore is in the squad, let alone starting! Question marks for Smalling as well. Excited by seeing Kane, Rashford, Alli and Lallana combine. Hopefully they will be a mainstay.
I am a bit surprised to see Snodgrass in the Scotland team. By all accounts he has been awful this season (maybe I have been reading the wrong sites?)
Has he played much for West Ham? I thought he might have been injured. I don't remember seeing him on Match Of The Day?
Not many England games I get excited about these days, but us playing the Jocks comes a close second to a Norwich v Ipswich match for me. COME ON ENGLAND !
The atmosphere when Scotland got a corner was electric. Good start from Scotland, and the fans are right up for it. Snoddy hits his first corner (after the commentator saying "he's a good set-piece taker") hits it low and the first defender clears it. Nothings changed since Norwich. I think he builds a career on commentators saying his great at set-pieces. Despite what he keeps doing.
England don't look at all good, or comfortable. They look asleep. This feels like watching Norwich at Portman Road when the passion of the players and the noise and passion of the crowd, intimidate the players and they start really badly.
15 minutes in, Scotland look comfortable. What did I say they were earlier? 61st in the world rankings? Something like that. This looks like Hodgson, Big Sam, McClarren etc etc. I think it is all about pressure and mental strength. It has to be. All those managers, a change in players. Yet again we are playing against a Championship level nation, and they are bossing us.
That. Was a pretty poor first half again for England. Incredible. No matter who manages, What the squad is. This is all way too familiar.
