Two poor sides playing poorly. Hart has to be dropped if Butland gets anywhere near where he was before the injury. Heaton deserves a chance too.
****ing hilarious, they were all dancing around singing in my face, then we equalised - hahahaha - they were so gutted!!!
England were poor, but they are a young side who should be given time imo. Hart probably could have done better with both free kicks, but they were very well executed. Butland for me to take over. It's never easy to break down a side playing 5-4-1 for most of the game and I'm absolutely delighted that England stopped the Scots celebrating with that late equaliser.
I hadn't even realised this was on until it started raining in the cricket and I switched channels. My interest in it has been that low, and the papers are full of the election so I hadn't been reading them. Turned over in time to see the final three goals.
Morning. Two 2nd tier sides played quite shytely, and hilarity ensued. 1. Why didn't the wall jump up to block the first Scot free kick? At least make the attempt! 2. What the hell was Cahill doing holding his face when he brought down the Scot in a heap of tangled legs and no face touched? Hilarious. 3. Why didn't the wall move a bit more for the 2nd one? 4. Scotland couldn't even keep ball for the last minute to see off game, Kane's goal made the hilarity of seeing the Scots disbelief to at least brighten the game. 5. Fair result. Germany, without Neuer, Özil. Kroos, Hummels, Khedira, Müller, Gomez or Schurrle, destroyed San Marino. OK so the German 2nd stringers aren't exactly 2nd stringers but we are seeing how shallow England are and how deep countries like Germany are. England have got a lot of work to do to keep up with the top countries. We'll get through to the WC, but we have to get better.
I thought hart was too far over to one side for both free kicks, fee kicks good but hart should look at these again.
England have a lot of very good youngsters coming through. The U20s are in the world cup final today. The U21s have been doing very well too.
When I looked up from the other stuff I was doing I thought England were playing some neat stuff in midfield, sharp fast passing, but were struggling with the final ball. Also had 3 or 4 chances that on another day would be goals (Kane a couple and how did Lallana not even hit the target with that header). Hardly inspiring but a fairly typical performance against a stubborn, limited team, which is what we face 90% of the time.
